The Source

Power Uncontrolled - The Source Core Alignment: Destructive Neutral Domains: Arcana, Light, Fire, Water, Chaos   The cerulean gem that formed the core of the Source, has always been known as the Aura’s Stone from the beginning of Kalio, and it is supposed that when the gods formed, the Source was the only one who showed these strange powers that have graced Kalio’s surface for generations after. They showed each of the gods they had the power of life at the center of their core, and showed the Kalians they could reach such heights as well through dedication.   However, the Source had so much power, it could create things from the air itself. Fire and metals and all sorts of things. The Source was the wellspring of Magic, and with it, the many creatures in the world that hold magic in their blood, including those born of Dust.   During the War, it was the Source that created and summoned the Great Titans and Constructs that would fight the worst of the Void Monsters, and their ruins as they returned to the ground, became massive veins of magic crystals which lie Fallow, until the Source lay their Godheart in the Soil, at which point it became the special material called Dust.   The Source’s worship is not nearly as common throughout Kalio. Most of their core worship only comes from those who either carry aura within themselves or those who study magic and its properties. The major exception is in Ephox. Due to their obsession with Aura and the genes that carry it, prayer in Ephox to the Source and all their incarnations is constant, asking for blessings of Aura to be bestowed on those without, strengthening Aura where it exists, blessing babies, blessing the healing of men and women, asking for Magic in the blood of those who carry aura, and so much more. Almost everything in Ephox can be attributed to the Source’s grace according to their common Doctrine.   Core Tenants of the Faiths surrounding the Source:   • Power is not something conferred upon you. It is a seed that exists in you, and you must cultivate it. If your grounds are barren, then you must seek ways to cleanse it. • Aura is the life force of Kalio. Those who carry an intimate tie to her are the soldiers that must defend her soil, protect her waters, and care for those who don’t have the pure connection. Letting that power lie Fallow, or seeking power without effort is heresy, as the Void will grant heretics this power without becoming a more pure being. • Magic is a force that is pure and uncontrolled. You may attempt to direct it, guide it, and request things of it, but Magic is a wild river that will break you if you do not respect it. Example Echo:
