The Dragon

The Fighting Soldier, the Warrior’s Heart - The Dragon Core Alignment: Chaotic Neutral Domains: War, Adventure, Honor, Dragons, Fire   Formed from a single sharp piece of steely gray obsidian, the Blade was combative and aggressive from the moment that it formed, with her charge into the newly forming world reckless and completely unplanned. The Blade originally was like the Wanderer, spending many a day traveling Kalio, but unlike her cousin, the Blade sought to challenge the creatures and lands of her mother.   She climbed mountains just to conquer their peaks and dove into the deepest caverns to find the dark Voidlings that lived within. For some time, the Blade remained utterly unchallenged even as the Void war began, and the creatures of Darkness found purchase on her weapon. The challenge was dulling, and it seemed that the Blade was going to become nothing, as there was less to challenge and nothing more to overcome. This continued until she met the Dragons of the Ilsiri, creatures born from their Fae Blood mixed with monstrosities of the Void. The two engaged in a constant dance of challenges and combat, neither gaining a foothold above the other until the two became fond of each other. From their union, and merging as a being came the Savik, three series of dragon-like humanoids who show fierce strength and powerful loyalties to each other and those who prove themselves in the challenge. When the Blade and their faithful Dragon retired from the limelight, they went to the Spine, where the Balance’s explosive mountains were beginning to cool down, and solidify. They found a spot where the Blade placed their heart, and the Dragon began to nest around it, bringing gold and silver to their resting place, and creating a massive natural temple known as the Nest, near the point that would become known as the break of Tryst. The Nest to this day often serves as the site of Initiation for those believed to be gods. As the Gold solidified around the Blades gem, the heat forced the godly gem to warp, and as part of it melted and stretched, it looked instead as if the sharp blade had grown wings, and as such, they became known as the Dragon. The Modern Dragon’s incarnations are possessed of a similar need to challenge and overcome, facing life’s worst head-on. The does lead to many of them taking a martial viewpoint on life, but no matter what, it seems the Dragon is always ready to face adversity in any form. As such, many of the religions and cults that follow the ideals of the Dragon seem to take the passion of finding these challenges and growing from them, but also try to ensure that when burnout or hits, that those who face it are not alone, and they are understood.   Core Tenants of the Dragon’s Faith Life is meant to be met head-on. That doesn’t mean you can’t run away. But if you must, use the chance to regroup, and become strong enough to meet your challenge. There’s nothing that cannot be beaten. Sometimes you cannot do it alone, or you need to take time to prepare yourself, but with time and effort, there is always a way to overcome. Sometimes the greatest challenge in life is allowing something to live. You do not always have to obliterate all you conquer. Sometimes it is enough to show it your strength, and then let it continue on.
