Hume

While Vaulters, Ilsiri, and other species laid early claim to the World, through their connections to the elements and the Gods, Humanity seemed to begin in a manner similar to a virus, as smaller, lost villages, seemingly leaderless and godless. They grew quickly and often seemed to bring trouble to many of the species that seemed linked to the gods and their kind. But during the Void War, Humanity fought just as strong and violently as any other species against the darkness of the Void. Humans seem to pop up in almost any environment, coming into existence with multiple skin colors, hair colors, and thousands of combinations of builds. They usually don’t live more than about 7-8 decades, but in that short timespan they build and expand cities, and their empires rise and fall all the time, even before the war.   Now though, humanity, for the most part, has learned to co-exist with other species, though they still have their issues. There’s still the aggression and the rapid growth and expansion, which some of the slower growing species find offense to, but Humans have proven to be quite an asset to Kalio. Oddly enough, humanity shares a Kinship with the K'vir, who also share a similarly short lifespan, and were discovered by the Wanderer when the world was explored for the first time. They were both considered barbarous until very recently, and their style of living often brings them into conflict with other species.
