After the Vahlic King Arnvid's son was kidnapped, he declared war on the Order of Klyn, starting with invading the Kingdom of Spayle and killing every known member of the Order.

Since its members were based mainly in the Kingdom of Spayle and the Acenyth Republic, they both felt the Arvid's wrath as he launched his own "inquisition" against the Order.   This started The War of Children.
