Era beginning/end
The Diaspora of The Novum Auctoran was a powerful sealing event that allowed the Novum Auctoran to leave the world. This created a vacuum of power and powerful beings as large as mountains began ruling Kaldra. This Age of Dragons spelt doom for lesser powerful beings such as humans and halflings. These creatures could run only so long from certain death as the chromatic and metallic dragons fought furiously to determine the fate of Kaldra.
After The Novum Auctoran disappeared, the power vacuum led to giantkin ruling most of Kaldra. For a time, this was allowed by an even greater power - dragons - who lied in wait for an opportune moment. That moment came when the Serpentfolk began organizing. A firece red dragon named "Sk'kar'thun" began cultivating them, using them to amass more power for himself. In contrast, other chromatic dragons began using Kobolds, Tengu, Goblins, and even Orc tribes to amass similar power. The might of these dragons was equated to their servants as more and more pledged to follow them. The great civilizations of Serpentfolk, Orc, and Kobold flourished under the reign of these primal hate-filled leaders until the world was remade as a breeding ground to serve their every desire. Only the strong survived, only the ruthless progressed. At some point during this amassing of power and wealth did the metallic dragons hear of their doing. For these noble dragons had been protecting many Elven, Dwarfish, and even Gnomish cultures for a very long time. Each of their civilizations rose to glory, only to find the world a harsh and unforgiving place ruled by the chromatic dragons. This was the start of the Second Age of Dragons - wherein the dragons began enlisting people they deemed as lesser to fight for them.
