Golden-Brown Shard

The Golden-Brown Shard, also called the "Mind Shard" or "Futuresight" is perhaps the second-most fickle in the group. It gives its wielder the ability to learn any skill rapidly (Half the time, speed-reader) at a cost (2 FP per use), and with training, allows them to use a skill they don't have but one of their predecessors had (Once per session, 3 FP per use) and see into and even manipulate the thoughts of others (4 FP per use to read, additional Will roll to manipulate).   Being the black sheep of the group, this gem does not seek out the balance the others typically do. Rather, one seeking the power of the Mind Shard should prove their intelligence by completing puzzles and riddles set before them by the gem itself. Even after that, the gem will test them regularly (IQ roll) to see if they are still worthy.   (If Timothy passes the trials, Timothy's mind will be melded with the memories of a man named "Jason Knight")   If the Shards were a human body, the Golden-Brown Shard would be the Brain of the group - Seeking to test its knowledge and learn more all the time.
