A breif update of various events unfolding across Ashnoor

Since the Erayax capture of Sartinia, residents from the northern regions of the Contested Lands have been steadily abandoning their homes, seeking refuge within faction-controlled territories. The exodus has been so significant that vast stretches are now virtually deserted, with many now referring to the once-thriving regions simply as the Barrens. Those few who remain face growing peril, fending off increasingly frequent border raids from the north—acts carried out with malicious intent and for purposes both cruel and unclear. Perhaps most disturbingly, rumour has it that Under Chief Drazz is overseeing many of these raids.
Further south, the Pixes of Pixiewood continue to challenge Hadovean control over the southern portion of their forest. Maintaining Imperial order has proven difficult, with a rising number of “accidents” affecting occupying forces. These incidents, once minor, have escalated in both frequency and severity. From the independent northern section of Pixiewood, Pixie Lord Tewlyn has been outspoken in his calls for full autonomy and neutrality, urging a return to Pixiewood independence.
Meanwhile, little has been confirmed regarding the fate of Lord Piter Callingber and Prince Bromel Thorsten. Both are widely believed to be alive and held captive in Moridale. Whispered rumors, however, paint a grim picture: tales of harsh mistreatment, of the noblemen reduced to skin and bone, forced into degrading labor at the whim of the Duke. This news undoubtedly is adding to the urgency each faction feels to overthrow Moridale however with the factions now sharing a common border, tensions are rising rapidly between the 2 traditional enemies and considerable work is underway building defences against each other should one decide to attack the other.
Much further north, the 2 year exploration mission commissioned by the Scholars to explore the unchartered areas in the north of the island of Ashnoor is due to return in the coming months, assuming they have survived any perils they may of encountered. There is much interest amongst the scholars to discover what happened to the many civilisations that called the area home prior to the fall of Aringale, perhaps some, even many, may still remain despite the presence of the Erayax.
