Equ Guild
A small, yet wealthy guild entirely responsible for the training, handling and sales of Equgigans.
Structure
A loosely structured organisation with Guild member trainers working in pairs as a general rule. Each pair will train and maintain herds of twelve to fifteen beasts.
This has been the best method that the Equgigan respond favourably to.
The Equ Guild's most significant organisational structure would be their central location in Doomsayers Keep. Their "offices" largely house and are run by an administrative staff. They're well paid and the majority of this pays for their integrity and loyalty. All financial dealings are conducted with them and they manage the day to day clerical duties associaed with running their rather unorthidox guild.

Their most valued asset is the bond they have with their herds.

History
Founded shortly after Kiprue Maq Cherstie rescued an injured foal, assisted it's recovery, befriended it and was quick to realise the dexterous intelligence of the beast.
WIthin two years of its founding, the guild were running consignments the length and breadth of the southern parts of Ashnoor. A single Equgigan can cross the island, at its widest point in just under ten days. Upon this realisation, the Equ guild, ten people at the time, became extremely valuable.
They have since grown in number, albeit no more than two thousand in total, and spread their influence throughout Geldheim, Hadovea and the southern reaches, at least, of the contested Territories.

Across the broad demograph that make up the guild they would generaly worship some form or other of the Ten, either individually as seems the current trend or as the old ways did - or at least as close as can be guessed the old ways looked.

Throughout their entire history the times they have been in conflict anywhere are limited.

Aside from their absolute authority with regards their herds, the Equ guild abide by whatever local laws are in place where they are active.
Trade & Transport
The Carriers, immense horselike beasts carry a significant load in small goods, parcels and mail and are exceptionally fast.
They are considered the fastest land animal in Ashnoor, and can sustain a running speed of up to fifty kilometres per hour for around ten hours. They will usually eat and then sleep for about another ten hours before repeating that for days on end.

Education
At what ever age their strong affinity with animals is identified children as young as ten years are offered a place at the guild college to be tested, trained and tested more before being accepted as a full guild member with all rights and priveleges therein.
Not very many make it all the way. Of course, there are those who fail to be trainers who do take to being administrators and, in that sense, pass beyond their wildest dreams also.

The field operatives, or trainers, are effectively working in autonimous pairs. They know what their job is and require the flexibility to allow for local conditions be they natural or influenced by local populations.

Contracts - The central point that all field officers are managed under - field officers are where the business of hiring services is conducted. Their motto, if you will, "you come to us we don't need to come to you" It is a not inaccurate perception that of this guild, the Contracts people are the arrogant ones.
Logistics - Their main funtions is to keep as accurate as possible record of numbers of working beasts and their locations. They have an ongoing and impossible task, at least if total accuracy were the requirement.
Supply - They work alongside finance and ensure that the Carrier trainers are paid and well supplied, the Equgigan's needs are met regarding anything medical, food if required or upkeep in every location.
Of course, it should be noted that there is a network of smaller officers throughout Ashnoor that are an integral part of this infrastructure as well.
