Gleam

Before the 10 Founding Deities began creating the Material Plane together, several of the Founders had been working on a separate project. The Gleam is a Plane of constant light, their is never night and the inhabitants have structured their society to reflect it. Opposite of the Gleam is the Gloom, a plane of constant night, with no light shining in the sky. The original Founders working on the Gleam and Gloom, welcomed the involvement of the others and over time all 10 would be taking part in the creation of what would become one of the first Planes. However, since not all of the Founders started working on the Gleam and Gloom at the same time they did not feel the same connection to it as those who did. In response to this dilemma the 10 Founders decided to start a new project together, and this project would later become what we now know as the Material Plane. Due to the Founders sudden departure from the Gleam and Gloom it left much of them feeling hollow and unrefined. The natural inhabitants of these Planes would grow to have distain for the Founders and the Material Plane for having left them and their home unfinished.
