Signe, Suture (SEE-nuh)
Suture is a cruel goddess of kind people, the patroness of mending that which requires the most sacrifice.
Signe's Doctrine
Suture is one of few gods whose followers rarely align with her ideals. Signe has no love for Kairos, but she seems to have a fascination with what mortals are willing to sacrifice. Getting power from her is an act of exchange in every moment of growth. She trades the ability to heal and protect for the most a person is willing to give up, usually with no benefit to herself. She reaches out to the desperate, if they don't reach out to her first, and offers powers that are gentle and helpful in exchange for blood debts and death. Occasionally she is willing to trade with those who aren't desperate as long as they're interesting enough to hold her attention. It's possible to barter with her, which leads theologians to believe she does care about the connection she has with the mortals that serve her, but the cost of her patronage is never light, even if it's negotiated. The power she grants isn't always strictly to heal, but it always interacts with flesh and blood.
Suture and Sunder
Signe is the older sister of the god Sunder. They roamed Kairos together before Suture's apotheosis, and myth says that when she ascended, she killed another god so Isleif could take their place, although no one can say if that's true, and that god's name has been lost to time if it is. Today, they're divided by their Pillars and their ideals, but they never stopped caring for each other. They've been known to watch over each other's clerics, even if they won't admit it. They've also been known to interfere in each other's affairs, trying to sway each other's followers one way or the other; however, their acolytes are rarely opposed, and their followers will be scorned by their gods if they try to hurt each other in service of their god. Rarely, there are clerics who serve them both, but this is a strange and demanding existence.
