Varun Óttarr
Bartender at the Pub within the Guild, maintaining the spy network secretly assisiated with it.
Varun is a half-elf people find themselves naturally inclined to trust and share their troubles with. He is cheerful person and warm, regardless of whether he's comporting a regular at the pub or extracting information from a turn-coat informant.
He values loyalty above all else. So when his previous employer saw fit to throw his trusted spymaster under the buss, Varun used his connections to ruin him. Loyalty goes both ways, after all. With his purpose gone, Varun went in search of a new boss. Someone with pure morals, who would benefit from his shadier expertice. The traiterous employer reminded Varun that the people too similar to himself were likely to fall to corruption. He would not make the same mistake twice. If he could somehow spare a new employer from ever going down that path, and use his network to support them from the shadows - hidden even from themselves, maybe he could find pride in his work once again.
