24.11.2019 - Thunder/Kithri - Death of a Hero

• Kithri casts Hold Person on Manath and inspires Eik
• Squirrel!Thunder runs over to A and tries to nudge/scratch him awake (didn't work, I'm a squirrel)
• The Guard tries to punch her, but crit fails and punches A in the mouth (breaking teeth)
• A rich looking dude reads the sentences of the about to be hanged people
• Coty shoots ice shards towards Nortle and Eik (only half dmg, but Eik is bloodied)
• The guard captain falls in the water when trying to cross the ice bridge
  • Three guards fall in when trying to save him, and the ice bridge breaks
• Hooded figure on the house behind the gallows. Looks like a person from the watch (purple cloak)
• Nortle keeps trying to catch the squirrel, but T evades despite inspiration
• K casts dissonant whispers on Coty and inspires Nortle again
• Squirrel!Thunder sees another hooded figure on another roof. Then bites the rope, dealing 1 dmg
• The guards atk her, dealing 2 dmg -> bringing her back to her own form
• Coty notices two more figures, casts frostbite on Nortle (10 dmg + d.adv.)
• Coty flings another ice shard towards the guards and Thunder (friendly fire, but evasion turns it into no dmg)
  • Alyvn also gets hit -> automatic death failure
• The guard captain gets out of the water and shouts to stop the hanging in the name of the Earl
  • Tells the guards to grab Manath and Sylword for now
• more hoods appear, now 11 total
• Eik casts darkness again
• Sylword pulls Manath free from the guards and drags him into a nearby house
  • A purple hooded figure rushes past him, into the shadow
• Nortle finally manages to grapple Thunder (she crit failed -> fell into him, they both fall off the gallows, but Nortle's slow fall stops them from taking dmg)
• Many purple hooded figures rushing into the darkness
• Kithri now has no targets and just hides in the crowd (23 stealth)
• Coty climbs to the roof, outside the darkness
• Manath finally saves from the hold person spell (We decided it's like a Darth Vader like Hold person, you can move your eyes, but nothing else)
• Sylword starts barricading the door, feels his armour getting cold (Manath doesn't feel the effect)
• Thunder escapes the grapple (again) -> Finds Alvyn, and notices how bad his condition is (2 failed death saves) No more actions so can't stabilize him
• Coty tries to have a debate with 'The Spell Haflings' about what the fifth element is (C: Void/metal, E: shadows, K: Music)

• Alvyn fails his last death save.
  • It starts to rain
  • The watch gathers around us: "The watch thanks you". Stabs him
  • (Coty, on Alvyn's team, was the one who killed him. Marius kinda killed his own character)

Thunder will remember that Sylword and Manath hid inside a house (not even injured, though M didn't have much control of it) while Alvyn died in her arms   Nortle was the one who stopped her from saving him

• M goes out of the house, ploughing through guards to get to the gallows (Doesn't know about A yet)
• T and M talk, and agrees that they have to get out of here (M carries A's body)
• S finally comes out of the house and goes over to the rest, following M's voice
• Erivale is worried and comes to us
• A lot more guards have arrived
• T grabs hold of the back of M's armour and prepares to walk with him, and atk anyone that tries to stop us
• When M comes out of the shadow:
  • M is paralyzed by K's Hold Person
  • The guards tries to grapple him,
  • but T stabs and kills the guard.
• Erivale is freaking out (electric) now that she sees Alvyn for the first time
• Nortle makes his way to Kithri
• Thunder kills another guard. Tears are visible on her cheeks, the hair on her neck and back stands up as she hisses and shouts at them to "Get away from us!"
• The Guard Captain asks everyone to stop fighting
• Nortle tries to teleport to the roof, but crit fails and falls down (w/ slow fall) right in front of the other party
• S crit fail when trying to break out of a grapple -> Twisting his right shoulder
• Erivale loses control, everyone around her gets thrown away (M and N saves)
• T persuades Erivale to take deep breaths, helping her calm down a bit
• The guards have stopped attacking, but are still approaching
• Coty tries to Frostbite Eik, but he counterspells. They prepare to brawl
• The watch is mysteriously gone btw
• The guard captain gets Coty and Eik to agree to stand down
• Nortle teleports to Kithri, they plan to teleport out if anything bad happens, but stay for now (stands down)
• Erivale gets a hold of herself (if holding Alvyn), Thunder walks over to comfort her.
• Coty walks over and gets super sad for no apparent reason (because of seeing someone else cry)
• The Captain wants everyone to go to the earl
  • Since the saboteurs think the Earl is corrupt they get out of there (Nortle shadow teleports, Kithri Dimension Doors herself and Eik)
    • Meets up at the inn where they started
• We have a meeting with the Earl
  • He calls Thunder forward
    • she says that since these individuals and the watch that he lets run free in his city was the ones responsible for Alvyn's death, she expects him to deal with this. Justice must be served
  • He wants to compensate us
    • He gives us the mysterious animal in the glass cage
      • It dampens magic
