General Summary
- There is a crowd of around 50 people in varying states of being injured. There are none that we immediately recognize
- The ceiling is about 50-60ft. high
- All of us roll 4 or below in initiative, except Coty... who rolls 7
- Bastian warns us that the crowd has gone quiet outside after the speech. "Everything is secured"
- The dragon is an adult black dragon, leaking fire and ash. He is partly on fire, as if parts of his body is dripping with magma-like blood
- Coty tries to cast Elemental Bane, but he just shrugs it off (saves)
- He looks at her and summons fire around Coty, but she manages to dive out of the way
- The wizard lady stares at the dragon. This was not part of their plan. They did not intend to summon this.
- The dragon breathes fire on everyone except Void, dealing 50 dmg and melts any mundane metal. The area is now difficult terrain, and anyone who ends their turn in the fire area will take more fire dmg
- Someone whispers in Void's ear "Tsk, I hope that is a heroic reposition. I would hate to start anew. Your sister isn't nearly as great of a canvas"
- Scribes Shocking Grasp's the dragon, and Misty Steps to safety. She takes out a piece of parchment and has her quill start to write something
- Void gets another whisper: "It's indeed beautiful. I made him myself. Just the finest art for my hero"
- Void curses the dragon and deals a lot of dmg with eldritch blast
- The dragon uses a villain action to create a cloud of ash in a 30ft. radius around us. That area is heavily obscured, and anyone in it has to save against poisoned
- Coty notices that part of the dragon's ashen body has green streaks, that flickers as it flaps it wings
- Bucket uses his turn to run out of the fiery terrain
- Sylword get's poisoned by the cloud, he then also spends his turn to run out of the affected terrain

- It then moves up to Bucket
- Scribes casts Witch Bolt on the dragon, and continues to write
- Void fails to Hold Monster, and gets into cover. The whispering voice is not pleased that he isn't fighting it in meelee
- The dragon draws in the fire of the terrain, and it's scales harden -> Stopping the dripping magma (temp hp)
- The scales have become greener, and there are growths winding themselves inbetween the scales.
- Bucker calls Bastian to him, and attacks the dragon with his falcon of reach and Smite
- Sylword prepares a Banishment and starts moving towards Scribes. He shouts "Who the hell summoned a dragon"
- Coty notices that the dragons claws and arms become green and insect like, growing vines in all directions
- Coty is also pretty sure that the fiery terrain is actually on fire. She tells the other "Fire not hot, dragon actually vines"
- There is an insect-like creature below the dragon that seems to flicker in and out. The actual motions is done by the centipede-like creature
- The things that were on fire wasn't actually burned
- The dragon crit fails against Bucket, but succeeds in attacking Coty, taking her out and pulling her towards it
- Sylword fails to banish the insect
- A tree near Scribes and Sylword awakens, grows eyes and looks at them
- Scribes recasts Witch Bolt, but upcast to 5th level and using fire dmg instead. It now looks heavily damaged
- As she tries to retreat out of the danger terrain, she is grappled
- Void kills it with an eldritch blast. He teleports to it, and spears it's head to the ground. A different voice in his head tells him "Yesss, kill it. Give me it's power!"
- As it dies, it digs it legs into the ground. We all fail, and get grappled. Scribes gets cacooned in the vines, barely seeing through a slit in the vines
- E whispers "Ah, my hero. I knew you were up to the task. Your heroics are the stuff of legends, and we get to see you grow"
- The aftermath
- The wizard lady finally finishes the Teleportation Circle, and Counterspells Scribes' Counterspell, managing to leave
- Sylword shouts in the voice chat to "Track her! Track her!", then runs towards the teleportation circle
- Scribes' familiar lands on his shoulder
- It grabs a knife and flies into the teleportation circle. Scribes loses telepathic contact with it -> Outside 1 mile
- Bucket wants to heal Coty, but he is grappled
- Bastian breaks through Bucket's cacoon, letting him run to Coty and Lay on Hands Coty for 30hp
- The mad people are still attacking the jesters
- Coty casts Greater Restoration on them, curing them of the curse
- Lipana is scared, and frantically attempts to light her gigantic cigar
- Coty then turns into a bird, to scout for more danger (She doesn't notice any)
- Sylword manages to free himself from the cocoon, and helps Scribes out of hers. After quickly making sure she's ok
- Sylword Revivifies the guard. He desperately wants to save as many as he can, since he wasn't able to save anybody during the war The guard is relieved to know that we won/survived (Sylword mentions that it was The Veil who took care of it). We don't know who did it. He wants to report to the Path of Hill Leader Arthur Montagu
- About 20 of the crowd is injured, but alive. About 30 others are in shock/fleeing. About 10(?) are dead
- Sylword runs around to cast Spare the Dying on all the injured. He manages to stop 14 people from passing away
- Bucket looks outside, and sees that the 5 pirate paladins are still guarding the entrance
- There is some localize scuffle, and a lot of people seems to be dusting off dirt and fixing their clothes and hair, and tending to others that need help
- Bucket picks Sylword up with Bastian, and flies him out to the crowd to speak to them
- Coty follows as a bird
- Bucket checks on Mamon. He is still stuck in the room, desperately clawing on the door
- Sylword and Bucket don't think that it is safe to release him, so they decide to keep him as a pet. But after some discussion, Sylword changes his mind. We release him
- Sylword points out "You know, Lorladon is probably the reason all my friends died"
- Mamon is very happy to be able to run away. However, he is still a cat, so he wants us to help him be released from the curse
- He climbs up on Bucket, who brings him to Scribes
- Scribes recognize it as a transmutation curse. She tells him that Coty, Bucket or Sylword might be able to remove it with enough time to prepare
- The one who put it on him probably wouldn't know
- Coty tries to Greater Restoration him (she crits!), and Mamon gradually transforms into a gnome with a mask. The mask has colorful elemental symbols on it. His clothing is functional, but fancy
- Since we can't promise that the one who cast it won't know, he says that he is now sticking with us and that we will have to protect him
- Bastian, Sylword and Void goes to address the crowd
- The mood has calmed more since Bucket checked last
- There is a whisper of encouragement going around the crowd of almost 1000
- There are a few people in the crowd preaching something about "The One Path, the path of the emperor". Saying that they have to walk in the footsteps of the emperor etc.
- There are also a few people spreading a message of peace and forgiveness (The Lady)
- Sylword is relieved to see that his speech seems to have worked, at least for now
- They take a walk amongst the crowd
- It feels a bit surreal that they are so calm compared to before
- There are whispers that he is The Voice of the Emperor. Sylword tries to deny that, but the crowd gets the wrong message, and believes even stronger
- "The one path was lost, but now we must regain it", seems like they caught the reference to the Path of Horn
- Sylword tells them to doubt the truths that we already know, like scientists
- He mentions Scribes, and says that she never makes a mistake, like other scribes. It is both a curse and a blessing. She heard the whole thing
- The crowd says "Sonnlinor Sylword. Path of Horn. We forgive you", then kneel on their knees
- A younger person asks if we also forgive "them", pulling forth a heavily beaten up person. They are someone who riotet and didn't follow the path
- Sylword tries to express that not everyone has the same background/perspective, and we should learn to live with eachother and understand eachother
- They put the violent rioters on the path by beating them up
- Void recognizes at least one of them as the instigators pushing the crowd towards violence during the transportation phase
- Sylword convinces them to release them and patch them up
- He tells them how his teacher was so rough, and that it wasn't until he showed him kindness that he listened
- He will not retaliate against the instigators, despite the pain they've caused
- The crowd outside go inside the courthouse to tend to the wounded crowd inside
- A squadron of Path of Hill guards (10-15) are heading in as well, including Arthur Montagu
- Sylword tells him "Good work", but the leader responds "That remains to be seen"
- Sylword says that he has learned something new: It takes more strength to stop yourself from killing someone, than to kill them
Asgeir can't seem to stop Sylword from becoming Jesus
Plan
Resummon the same raven familiar to learn what the other side of the teleportation circle looked like. Sylword can cast Locate Object on the knife that was left there. Scribes needs to talk to Coty about what happened with Lorladon.
