General Summary

- Talking about stories
- Telling him about The Watch in Bricot
- Gives him the location of the alleyway entrance
- He is not surprised by this
- He tells her that Lady Blackmountain is pregnant
- He is not opposed to the new religion spreading
- Creates balance
- He would take the side of stability
- The kings wife disappeared
- It would create stability to marry
- Coty and the wizards
- Talking about ways to kidnap Orthun
- Teleporting him when they exit from the event
- Would require a teleportation circle
- One of them would have to leave early and create it
- The others will not like it if they just leave
- But the wizards doesn't really care
- Orthun is sitting next to Coty and hears everything
- C asks him what it would take for him to go with them
- "Why would I go anywhere with a wizard"
- Doesn't want gold
- The wizards are suggesting to "Rope him", like the ruffians do
- Keep talking about how to abduct him
- Then asks him what if they could create something to stop magic in Yin
- "What, like the Fields of Towers that we already have?"
- Orthun keeps mentioning the path
- "The path of self-improvement"
- "There is no place for chaotic magic on the path"
- C asks him to teach her about the path after they're done here
- He agrees, tells her to come to his quarters
- She wants it to be right outside
- He agrees, and says that they can walk together to his quarters
- The wizards are impressed. Wonders if Coty was a spy before she lost her memories
- They have a device that could help with the memories, but she'd have to trust them
- Coty does
- The high table (S, M and Eri)
- S sits beside Anya
- She welcomes him, but he says he's not supposed to talk to strangers, and starts chatting with the king, calling him by his first name (Gillian)
- He responds well, but then sees Anya's reaction and calls S by his title
- They talk about S's 'Vacation'
- Anya is very frustrated by both of them
- S says there was a lot of bad people attacking Connla's well
- Fanatics, working with undeads
- The king hasn't heard about the ___ employing undead soldiers
- S talking about the spreading of a plague. Asking if there's been any outbreaks after the refugees started arriving
- King recommends talking to the Treasurer
- They have a lot of refugees, not only from Connla's well
- They all seem to be picking up this new religion
- Anya tries to bring the game back, the king gets visibly annoyed, but she doesn't notice
- S plays along
- Mentions that she doesn't seem to be matching the clover colours
- She brings up that she's with child
- The king clenches a fist on the table when she brings it up
- Anya puts her hand on his and he relaxes
- They met at a ball here
- S reveals that he is on a first name basis with Ezekiel Blackmountain (the Lord)
- S brings up that someone is now single
- Lady Rockwater
- S asks for an audience with the King
- He says they can talk after
- The king orders a toast for the fallen
- Everyone stands up
- Redkent drinks to drinks at once
- S tries to subtly have a toast towards M and T
- The king gets sombre, and lifts his glass a second time
- "For my wife, wherever she might be"
- Anya takes the smallest of sips possible
- He then slumps down in his throne
- Erivale reassures M that he'll be back to normal soon
- "Notice he didn't say deceased"
- She went missing before the war, S and M has never met her
- There is a rumour that a message was found in her room
- A songsteel necklace
- A Necklace of Control
- Often used to control magic wielding slaves, put on the slave to prevent them from using magic if the owner didn't want to
- Controlled through an armband
- The master could deal punishment through the necklace
- The Queen had some affinity for magic
- The necklace might have left it as a taunt to the king
- Is possibly a big reason why the King is so against magic
- (Veins of songsteel are rare)
- Eri suspects the king wants to marry
- She needs to prove herself
- Among other things in court
- They succeeded
- If they could find out who kidnapped the Queen…
- Not that many veins of songsteel in Tritonia
- Eri has been trying to track songsteel, and the suppliers
- Nobles aren't very forthcoming
- This might be how she gets to power
- "I will rely on your help, when the time comes" - Eri
- "I will help you however I can" - M
- The King starts talking to M about adventure(?) like an old friend
- "I tire of these games" - King
- "Now, what are you doing here? Why did you come so early?"
- He wanted them back, because politics are stupid
- S brings up that Eri was missing
- King gets sombre
- "Did you find out who did it?"
- Anya chimes in to remind him of formality
- S overly formal answers that we did
- The king stats putting weight on words like 'wife', 'firstborn', 'heir' (Referring to Eri)
- (He is a bit drunk)
- To types of guards: Royal, and pirate looking guards
- All of them are wearing the clover colours (Green and white)
- T
- Lady Rockwater shows the treasurer and T an armband that she had crafted
- An armband of songsteel
- She hands it to Thunder
- It is very new, no wear and tear
- Rockwater starts talking about how the masters used to use these to control magical slaves (using the word 'us')
- Says she doesn't have the necklace, only had the armband made
- The Lady chimes in:
- There are sad rumours that a master kidnapped the queen
- Might not be good to show of such an item
- Rockwater flustered
- Rockwater has a songsteel mine
- Planning to make a lot more necklaces, for a good price
- C
- Egil notices Rockwater talking to T
- Says he wouldn't be surprised if it was the Rockwaters who kidnapped the queen
- He is very fixated on T
- Says people with malicious intent is trying to infect someone pure
- Says Rockwater has always been against the Clovers
- Red Kent shouts "Down with the Rockwaters!"
- The pirate guards cheers
- The wizards cheer too, just a bit too late
- Some nobles cheer without having heard what was said
- Others disagree "Down with the enemies!"
- Things get loud, fist-fighting at the lower tables
- Red Kent throws the table "Down with them all!" and starts storming the table of Lady Rockwater
- The king is bemused, not going to stop it
- Anya is worried, but doesn't dare say anything
- Kent reaches Rockwater
- She is unconcerned because of the Lady's aura
- The Lady, unconcerned steps aside
- Rockwater grabs the necklace, puts it on, slams it on the table and creates a tornado, throwing everyone aside
- Treasurer is unconscious
- Lady on her knees
- She then tries to summon an air elemental
- C starts to summon her own (1 min casting time): An Ice elemental
- T notices Orthun is gripping his disk, but staying as still as possible
- Roll initiative:
- Tornado hurls Kent (now half conscious)
- Then flies up to C
- C drops her summon spell, and tries to dispel the air elemental, fails
- She tries to learn about the element wind, by breathing in as much of the elemental as possible
- S shouts to C, asking where his hammer is
- T sneaks up to steal the armband (crit fails)
- Notices an airstream heading towards the high table
- Shouts out "Your majesty! Invisible enemy!" while pointing it out (now on the platform)
- The King grabs his ceremonial sword, some guards heads towards him
- Some nobles notice S grabbing weapons, and starts grabbing for them too
- Warns them not to touch the hammer, but they do it anyway
- T manages to steal the armband, disengages, and rushes up to the platform
- Rockwater "Wait, you have to have them under control!"
- The elemental gets diminished as it passes by Orthun
- C tries to dispel it, but the magic passes by Orthun, so is affected, but is still successful
- The invisible thing attacks Erivale knocking her unconscious
- M manages to grapple it
- It is very big
- S comes out from under the table and throws a sword to M (Who can't catch it, as he's holding on to the creature)
- He then goes after the minor noble who has his hammer
- T fails to use the armband, and goes to flank with M
- M unable to keep grappling it (it is made of air), then manages to catch his sword
- Does dmg to it, but it hurt him back (on his turn)
- Rockwater looks around and tries to walk away (None of us notices this)
- The king and guards tries to slash at it, but misses. Goes to cover Erivale, to protect her. Some are trying to get her out of the way
- S crit fails grappling the hammer thief
- T stabs it, dealing 25 dmg, halved to 12
- C teleports up to the platform, then shapes water to pour wine on the creature, making it visible (The top at least)
- M heals, but gets knocked back to 1 hp
- S notices Rockwater running away
- The guards drag Eri away
- S finally gets his hammer
- The bards are still playing btw
- The Lady joins the guards and the King to escort Erivale out of the room
- T throws the armband to C: "She used this to control it. Make it stop"
- C catches it, doesn't understand it, and throws it to S. "You fix it!"
- Both crit, and it clasps onto his wrist immediately
- M goes unconscious, it turns on T
- Blackwater casts Darkness behind her, blocking our view of her
- S uses Wall of Fire to block the exit. Making it only hot on our side, so it doesn't burn the wall
- T learns its movements and would have killed it if the dmg wasn't halved
- C heals M
- He gets up and kills the elemental
- Blackmountain is stopped by the wall of fire. Shouts at some royal guards "The mountain remember" + something about oath, and to kill the cleric
- 2 guards rush towards S, and reveals the symbol of the Green Eagle
- An opportunity atk makes S lose concentration on the wall
- T rushes through the room (120 ft in one turn!) to get to the escort
- Anya escapes through a hidden exit
- Coty casts Longstrider on herself and M
- Eri's escort leaves through another hidden exit
- T notices Eri is breathing, and the magical creature is sitting on the shoulder of the Lady
- She can still feel the calm aura, even though she has the creature on her shoulder
- The King shouts for the wizards to help, they cooperate to quickly cast Wall of Wind, heal guards and casts Calm Emotion on people to reduce the chaos
- S shouts through the main exit "Wait, this is yours!" and throws Auberons signet ring towards Rockwater
- Her face goes stony cold, and she walk away after kicking the ring at S
- T and M run up to help S
- The King joins the fray once he knows Eri is safe
- C heals Eri, she's still unconscious
- M deals the final blow on one of the green eagle guards
- As T stabs one of the guards, he doesn't really care. Single-mindedly focusing on S
- T deals 41 dmg (crit with dagger), and kills the last enemy
- The aftermath
- T tells the King that Rockwater controlled the creatures with the armband
- S tells him that he will identify it, given 10 mins
- "Do so. This will be the end of the Rockwaters"
- The King wants us to accompany us to his chambers
Plan: say T took both the dagger and armband from Rockwater.
