23.05.2025 - Scribe-5 - The Archivist

• Two shadows have attached themselves to Bucket and Scribes
• They are constantly changing shape, referencing things we have sacrificed
• Scribes first turn is spent being confused, she then gets attacked by her shadow
• The attack makes her lose access to Sending
• Bucket blesses the party
• The shadow screams at us, but Bucket prevents us from being frightened
• Coty casts Arctic Breath
• Sylword uses his spiritual weapon to bonk
• Scribes has to attack someone random, and stabs the damaged shadow -> Killing it!
• This snaps her out of her confusion
• Coty's Hold Person spell is disabled by the shadows
• Sylword fails an attack, and Coty follows it up with a -1 when attacking with her spear :)
• Scribes tries to Toll the Dead, but they're immune to necrotic
• Bucket finishes the last shadow off
• Void appears where the shadow died
• He still has half a sending stone
• When he talks into it he hears screams of pain in return
• The rituals seems to be an amplifier that will help bring something (The Saviour) into existence, and strengthens it
• There is goodness, kindness, retribution
• The ethereal being is still hovering next to Void, but only he can see it
• Void's patron says that celestials can fall
• He doesn't know anything about The Saviour
• We move to the next room
• We enter at the top of a wide staircase
• It's a massive hall with sculptures and paintings
• They depict the sacrifices we've made
• About a 100ft away is a figure stiched from parchement and canvas
• It's surface shifts to depict the things we've sacrificed (like Bucket's real face)

• He says he has seen all our forgotten memories and hidden fears
• Grandma is at the back of the room, being harassed by a large devil
• E commands them to get us to help, or take our soul if we refuse
• Mamon is also at the far end of the room, in his devil form
• A giant spectral hand grabs him and pulls him into the next room, to his protests
• Threads of power (?) coalesce from Grandma and go into the next room
• We roll initiative
• The devil harassing Grandma tries to attack her, but it passes right through
• So he throws an ice spear at Bucket instead, missing him twice
• The sculptures all emmenate icy fog, but the ones near the fountain seem darker than the rest
• Scribes fireballs two statues and the harassing devil
• The statues melt away, and the devil seems vulnerable to fire (he's an ice devil)
• However, he has magic resistance so it cancelles out
• Void Eldritch Blast's, critting on the last one
• Then Thargnak charges in, doesn't reach the enemies
• Then The Archivist makes him forget how to use his whip
• We fight some more
• Then the Archivist fills Scribes mind with her greatest fear, and he seems empowered(?)
• Coty casts Investiture of Ice. She becomes 1'90
• The statues seem to have ink inside them, and in the ice fog around them
• They seem to move in tandem to the Archivist's movements
• The Archivist looks at Coty and she can choose between 30 psycic dmg, or her highest lvl spell slot
• Void tries to Hold Person the Archivist, but he moves the elephant statue to take the hit instead

Plan

REMEMBER: Void has a new Non-detection for 8 hours. Scribes is affected by confusion, and her spellbook is summoned

Scribes is stiffer and more robotic because she lost some humanity (Cha points)

We must protect the silver dragon egg (it likes cold) - It has also been magically altered somehow

Void's sister is in E (Empusia)'s lair

Get the dwarves out of here safely (Bucket's honor depends on it)

Sylword can cast Locate Object on the knife that was left on the other side of the Lorladon portal.

Scribes want's to save the last familiar

Scribes needs to read up on what pranks are, and think of one to prank Sylword and Bucket back. Since they told her to.

Scribes needs to talk to Coty about what happened with Lorladon (Coty wants to assemble her voodoo dolls first)

We should turn Custodian Auren over to the Path of Hill, claiming that we held him while we investigated his crime of impersonating the Emperor
