General Summary

- We're in the dining room, with the bug on the table
- Scribes casts Rary's Telepathic Bond with just the party, not the Queen, child or Gus Barrelmug
- Sylword tells us about Gus Barrelmug and the spying device
- The bugs is a tiny 5cm purple creature with gold flecks
- it's more insect than spider, but with dozens of feet
- There are 6 small arms
- It has no eyes, but two holes in it's head that vibrates
- Scribes starts casting identify
- It's a living creature, not a construct
- I seems to navigate by sound, emminating a low hum/whisper burrowing doubt into our minds
- Almost like each specific person hears their doubts like rumours in the room
- Holding it down for the spell causes it to become agitated, increasing the intensity of the doubt
- It's keyword is "Rumor". you then tell it a short message, which it then feels compelled to deliver to it's master
- It has an intelligence of 1 or 2
- This is not a new spell, it was cast a while ago
- The power used to fuel the magic has some emotional undercurrent, like the creature itself produces magic energy that is feeding the spell
- Negative emotion energy
- Coty plugs it's ear-holes, like stopping a nosebleed
- We hear a crunching sound, as she jams the tissues in. Clear, foul-smelling liquid starts pooling out of it
- Coty casts cure wounds on it, healing it to full
- The rumours have dampened, and the liquid is corroding the table
- Sylword mends the table (including the stab wounds from the Queen)
- The Queen is frustrated to not be included in the conversation
- Sylword gets worried that Honey is also a spy, he runs and gets it, asking Scribes to identify it too
- It's magical. It's a fey creature that just looks like a dragonfly
- Sylword casts Zone of Truth, Scribes casts Detect Thoughts
- Gus is feeling dejected, guilty and shameful. He feels disgust when looking at the creature
- Scribes dives deeper into his mind
- He willingly fails the saves
- He first started spying on Sylword in Connla's Well
- He was in the harbor when Sylword arrives there
- Scribes sees the scene, feeling his stress and uncomfort as the bug was hidden in his beard spreading rumors
- He was first handed the bug in a black box with silver clasps
- The box was inscribed with old runes, containing the contents
- The runes were ancient religious dwarven runes
- He was not feeling unnaturally calm when receiving the box
- He doesn't remember where, but he hid the box somewhere
- Scribes sees him hide it in his small one-room apartment in Connla's well. Digging a hole in the corner for it
- It was gone when he checked back on it later
- Coty sends good vibes (Guidance) to help Scribes
- Scribes tries to gleam who gave him the box
- A hooded figure gave him the box. They emminated fear
- They were 3-4ft tall
- They seem to vanish from the memories as soon as they gave the box
- In Connla's Well the creature came back the same day in a few hours, here it takes days for it to return or longer
- He last sent a message yesterday, but it came back this morning, way faster than usual
- He's told it:
- Sylwords living situation, and daily schedule in Connla's well (Who he met, when he ate, slept etc, where he went)
- He left Connla's well with other meants than a ship, he's been tracking Sylword on and off for a while
- He reported on the bigger stuff happening in the group
- Changes in the roster etc.
- At some point, the bug didn't come back for a while. He thought it was over ------- He moved to Hugo-Sha because it was far from everthing that had happened ------- Then the bug appeared, telling him to apply to the Guild
- How to get in and out of Veilhearth
- Veilhearth was a temple, built on top of something big that The Veil is hiding
- Desa and the two dragon eggs
- That we have magical wards, though he doesn't understand them
- The Empress
- He talked to her, and is afraid of her
- He wasn't enthralled by her, since he was protected by the creature
- She was not happy about this, and stopped speaking to him
- Auren
- He hasn't told them about the teleportation circle yet
- Scribes sees that the bug asked him about the teleportation circle sigils when it came back today
- But he was so spooked by it returning so quickly that he hasn't told it yet
- Yesterday, he told it that:
- We have Queen Elenor
- He started working for them because he got in with a rought crowd
- Gambling, scamming
- He got caught by really bad people, that somehow knew everything about him
- Scribes memorizes their faces
- He was scamming a temple to steal their offerings, but got caught by the temple guards
- He had taken the least amount of risk possible
- The temple was known for being kindhearted, open to all, healing, soup kitchen etc.
- It was a temple for The Lady
- As he was talking to his target, everything was calm and kind, but there were suddenly no one in the temple, and the doors were shut
- Several people in white robes came out of the shadows, bringing him to a room where the fearsome 3-4ft figure from the earlier vision stood
- Though his robes are black, the inside of the is white. He has a medallion with the symbols of The Lady
- They told him very specific things about his life that no one should know, as well as future things he will do
- After telling him that they would be in touch, they let him go, and normal temple proceedings kept going as normal
- A few days later he was handed the box
- Their predictions were exactly right
- Scribes tells the party that his handlers are connected to The Lady
- Sylword goes to get Desa
- He tells her that a fly has breached security
- He asks her to ensure that no one leaves or enters Veilhearth
- Desa: "How violent?"
Sylword: "No one leaves, alive" - He tells her about the sealed entrances of the cave systems
- Toad, Selmyn and Thunder know about the caves
- Thunder knows a lot about the party in general
- Desa will alert us with sending if anything happens
- When Sylword asks Gus if he's heard any of the prohecy song, like "Mother Bossom", he connects the word "Mother" to The Lady, but hasn't heard anything about a prophecy
- Sylword gathers the Battlemaids
- He tells them that there's been a breach of security. No one leaves or enters, unless they want to die
- Someone asks if their families will be notified, and Sylword says no
- He then says they can each write on emessage that we will proof read and send for them
- He writes a note and puts it on the front door. "Do not enter. You will die"
- The butler assures us that they've prepared for this
- Scribes takes a short rest to prepare Guards and Wards
- She then casts it to change the password, hiding the front door with an illusion
- Meanwhile, Sylword crafts a cage for the fly
- We walk out of Veilheart, to hunt the hooded figure
- The scribe and guards there are confused by the sudden disappearence of the doors
- Selmyn Sends Scribes a message: "Scribe-5. I'm having a bit of a memory problem. It's strange. maybe you can help me figure things out. If you're not busy. There's like a gap, and I don't know why."
- We start heading towards her
- On the way, we're using Locate Creature (Bird Coty with the Locate Creature wand)
- Sylword ties a ribbon to Coty's foot, to be able to recognize her in the air
- Scribes shows everyone what the handler looked like in the telepathic bond
- After 10 minutes of flying, Coty gets a ping, towards the Academy
- Erin senses something foreboding and fearsome
- The insect is furiously trying to get in the direction of the Academy
Plan
- Figure out who's spying on Sylword (GELF?!?)
- Prepare for the trap(?) in the Academy
- Sylword wants to cast Warding Bond first
- Rescue Selmyn (memory issues)
- Teleport to Tidebreaker with Captain Queen Elenor Clover polymorphed
- Meet with Erivale in the Stormlord temple to hear about the current state of the Tidehaven politics, and how her father is doing
- Meet with the king in the Stormlord temple, to feel him out before revealing anything about The Queen
- Copy the elevator design for the hidden Pot room for Veilhearth
- We have to figure out if the sacrifices are permanent, or will go away
- Coty must protect the white dragon egg (it likes cold)
- Get the sibling dwarves home
- Get the two souls back to their bodies
- Coty might want to figure out how to deal with her two pokemon parents
- Sylword can cast Locate Object on the knife that was left on the other side of the Lorladon portal
- Scribes want's to save the last familiar
- We should turn Custodian Auren over to the Path of Hill, claiming that we held him while we investigated his crime of impersonating the Emperor
- Or whatever the party agrees to do
- Learn the new spells: Aquired but unlearned spells
