General Summary

  • Arnini tries to charge his crystals in the energy beam
  • The crystal eventually breaks in half
  • They are warm to the touch, and there's a small glint of light in one of the halves
  • S stays behind to rotate the statue to point the beam at the wall, opening the way for us to all get back out of through the hole
  • T picks up the seed, and her, Void and A go through the hole with the beam still there, so the seed doesn't die
  • Void first, then Arnini, and Thunder last
  • As we go through, the Cat Lord walks out of the room with Seal!Coty
  • Void asks S to tie a rope around the statue, that we can use to climb down into the room
  •  Void and Arnini climb down
  • T starts sprinting and tries to jump over to the tree, using the beam to push her forward
  • She hits the trunk too low, but quickly climbs up to save the seed
  • She can hear a soft melody from the seed
  • Arnini uses his mage-hand/extendable-dinosaur-head to hand T Woodcarver's Tools

  • Nothing new happens with the seed, so we decide to take it through the next hole
  • Arnini realizes he has both a mage hand and rocket boots that will be easier than T jumping another 20 feet to save the seed
  • Arnini takes the seed with the mage hand, and T climbs down from the tree
  • Void hear the golem getting closer
  • Our new sign for danger/golem is jazz hands
  • T and Arnini flies up to the hole, and gets T to use her rope, so we can help Void climb
  • Through the second hole
  • We're pushed faster and faster, and finally see light at the end of the tunnel
  • It opens into a large open space, with the sound of voices
  • T tries to use her claws to slow down, it's not very effective
  • Arnini uses his rocket boots to fly up when exiting the hole
  • There is elves and yuan ti milling about, and a strong feel of magic in the air
  • It's the room where A and S where in a magic cage
  • So they we're probably thrilled to see the magic beam the first time. Then it disappeared and reappeared several times
  • T kicks off the edge, and jumps over the well she was heading into, doing a fancy spin in the air and a summersault
  • Everyone is impressed, and then A follows it up with a summersault with his rocket boots
  • Void finishes the performance with making his pact weapon a warpick and ramming it into the floor in the hole, to slow his advance
  • He is able to climb down as if he has spider climb
  • There are many holes in the chamber, and the magic beam criss-crosses across the room
  • People are celebrating
  • Referencing it as the lifeblood
  • T mentions that  she thinks the seed will grow in the well
  • Glannon approaches with the Arcanist (Void's guide)
  • The Arcanist instructs A to move the seed over the well, where the flow coalesce
  • Before he does so, he puts another of his crystals in the middle of the magic flows
  • It starts spinning in space faster and faster, as it starts glowing from heat
  • Then it shatters, falling down into the well
  • A puts the seed in place (This one does not spin)
  • (The elf city is Awarth)
  • The arcanist explains that "The lifeblood is given to the heartseed. All it needs now it the spark of life. Who is willing?"
  • The crowd all answers that they're willing
  • "Only one spark is needed"
  • Glannon insists that he does it
  • He starts jumping into the well, but the Arcanist rushes past him and jumps before he can
  • The energy from the well cracks the seed. The tune grows louder, as the vines grows into the well. The tree has taken root
  • The Cat is sitting by T with Coty
  • We fetch S and asks Glannon to give him his magic back
  • Arnini gives him his name so that he can be remembered in the history books.
  • T introduces herself as Left-Handed Hummingbird
  • He is distracted, but T gets his attention by threatening to take the magic away
  • The people in the room are filling with magic. Glannon seems to be radiating power
  • He gives S back his magic
  • A asks him for one of the crystals that they store power in
  • He gives A a wand with a crystal on the end
  • T asks him for tips on dealing with the anti-magic monks
  • He suggests ridding the monks of their anti-magic disks
  • T reveals where they're going
  • He gives us the trick to the tower door: "I Lond"
  • Means The Path in elvish
  • We leave to take a short rest at the inn. We have to drag S out of the celebration, his pockets are now full of food
  • Discusses whether to go through the door or follow the previous plan
  • we don't have time to get disguises, so we'll do the previous plan
  • We get into range for S's Locate Creature, and he casts the spell
  • And that is where we end the session
