General Summary
Marius will arrive late
- We level up ^^ (T gains the Sharpshooter feat)
- Arnini makes his shoes into rocket shoes
- Breakfast is served in the room, w/ a note that we can order any meal from the meny or come down to the restaurant area
- We could choose to have rooms facing into the courtyard or out to the street
- Courtyard: Sylword
- Street: Thunder/Coty
- Seems like carnival(?) preparations are going on in the streets (Colourful skull makeup, decorations, shrines)
- T knows that it is the day of the dead
- People can talk to their ancestors and/or appease them
- The veil between the living and the dead is thinner tonight
- We get breakfast (On the house)
- New drink only today: Ghost Ale
- Use it to offer to your ancestors, or drink it and feel more connected to those that have passed
- On the house
- There is a duo of musicians practicing in the courtyard, by the altar
- Half-elf man playing and female Aldryami singing
- We go to a room without a bird and plan
- A can make two people invisible
- Void can make 4? people invisible
- Coty can shapeshift, and maybe polymorph
- We might want to use a line of some sort to climb over from a nearby roof
- Possibly blow up a hole in the wall, and cast Silence on it
- S needs 4 platinum coins and a jewel worth at least 10 gp
- T pulls out the Goddess' Jewels (It doesn't actually contain jewels, but is made out of platinum and worth a lot more than what is needed)
- S estimates that just the materials are worth around 1000 gold, but as a piece it is worth a lot more
- He says that we should maybe use something else
- T pulls out a lot of stuff, including the instruments. They contain enough platinum, as well as a diamond
- S still borrows 10gp to buy a nicer looking jewel (Amethyst)
- (This is the first time any PC has seen her Collection)
- We go to scout the tower
- On our way out, T asks the innkeeper where the different events are
- In the parks are bigger gatherings
- Might be a parade
- A procession from the palace to the tower of forgiveness
- A lot of people are here
- White and black clad monks
- White in training, black more authority
- Can get about 10-20 meters from the tower without getting out of the crowd
- 1 balcony, no windows
- Balcony on the third floor (ca. 30 ft.)
- No other tall buildings next to it
- Shorter barracks made out of wood
- Maybe set it on fire?
- While we're there we see only one shift change
- A tries to cast minor illusion on a rock, it loses the colour when hitting the tower walls
- A pretends to be a tourist sketching the tower. He is approached by a guard when he gets withing 5 meters
- T climbs a nearby roof
- There is a door to the balcony, but no windows in it
- Walkway along the top of the tower, with a pointed roof going up from there
- There is a hooded figure walking along it.
- Someone is being wheeled into the tower, chained. 4 wheeled wagon. Nobles attire. Dragged by black clad monks
- Female half-elf, long flowing blonde hair
- When they reach the tower, they carry the woman. one of them mutters something(facing away so no lip reading) and they are let through
- The procession starts at early dusk, and lasts until midnight
- T buys 5 masks: 3 full face masks, 2 half face masks
- A half face, S half face tiger.
- While we're scouting, S stays behind to make two rings from the materials he got
- We go back to planning
- S's plan:
- S will try to locate where Cloud is in the tower
- S, Void, A and Thunder disguise as Aracocra, and fly far up. Then try to land on the roof of the tower
- One use hat of disguise
- Maybe not disguise
- Coty shape shifts and flies up
- S silences the person at the top, while T takes them out
- (Arnini buys a lot of firecrackers)
- Use the procession as a distraction
- S' rings will work for 1 hour, and provide the wearers +1AC and +1 to saves, and the dmg is split between them. Only works when within 60 ft.
- After discussion, Void and Sylword gets the rings
- Coty becomes frozen in ice, that seems to shimmer. We can see her in there in a meditative pose
- The edges are slowly melting inward. Estimate it will take about 5 hours (In time for our mission)
- We have a few hours to kill
- Arnini goes alone to the academy
- Does something he has to talk about alone with Niels
- Void goes to buy a shield, S goes with him to observe how trade is done here etc.
- S is robbed by a small elven child. He catches up and grabs her
- She tries biting him
- Tries to convince her to give it back, but crit fails
- A monk in a black robe approaches them (an elderly man, but in very good shape)
- Asks if she's a strayer from the path, she is terrified of him
- S tries to back her up
- The girl eventually says her name is Aida
- They eventually get away from the monk
- S tries to teach her to pick better targets and maybe team up with someone to steal better
- Other dark skinned children are watching
- S tries to tell them how he did things "back in my days"
- They brandish an assortment of knives and big rocks
- S gives her 20 gp
- She hides it, kicks him and runs away. "You're not scary!"
- Void goes to the blacksmith to buy a shield
- Muscular 18 y/o(?) female behind the counter
- Asks for a simple metal shield
- Someone throws a rock at Void
- Aida steals from S again, this time with improved tactics
- S follows her until they're in an alley, then Commands her to stop (She crits her save)
- He casts Sending on her, shouting into her mind "Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice and you will feel the wrath of Moradin (etc.). Now get back here or I will burn down your house!"
- She responds "Get out of my head" over and over
- He blows open the window she crawled through with thamathurgy, then crawls through it himself
- He makes his voice booming with thamathurgy "You cannot run. i can see you. I will give you 10 seconds to get back here".
- Counts down from 10, while she runs further
- S casts locate object on the knife she stole, asks Void to teleport to where she is (They calculate it based on the spells direction and how long she's been running)
- Void uses Dimension Door to teleport them both into a sewer Aida is climbing down into
- Void has to save a wis save as a dark skinned elf enters the tunnel
- S ignores this and moves under Aida, scaring her off the ladder and catching her when she falls
- There are at least 4 dark skinned adult elves staring at them with glowing eyes
- T sneaks of to spy on the cat house, and see who's there etc.
- 31 stealth
- A lot of tabaxi, T recognizes 2 (One from her tribe)
- 26 y/o female juggler, golden fur, kinda obese.
- She is preforming.
- Lone Mind (Mind)
- T manages to slip the Necklace of bones/horns (from the island people) along with a note to her without being noticed.
- The note reads something like: "Good luck on you further travels Mind"
- T sticks around (wearing the mask), and just enjoys being among a group of tabaxi again
- A black clad monk walks up beside T to watch the juggling
- People are a bit uneasy around him
