The Ten Sun Duelists Schools
The Ten Sun Duelist Schools is an organization that goes back millennia. First founded by the famous Saint Tarron the Old, the schools teach the philosophy and practice of dueling.
There are many of these schools, with the oldest being the school of Swallows, with each new school being founded by a duelist who bears Ten Suns. One can earn Suns through either dueling with duelists who bears more suns or through accomplishments in great battles. Most duelists can only ever bear Ten Suns, but there are a hallowed few who earn the title of Saint through hearing the tune of creation. How one does this depends on the person, but it is known to first require incredible skill to even attempt.
The Schools themselves are located all over Joia, with masters from every facet and culture teaching at and for different schools. Every school and nation has its own style of fighting and philosophy for doing so and these are all on full display in their duelists who are as unique as they are extravagant.
Considering that the schools were effectively producing adventures, and so the question of whether or not they should be under the authority of the Grand Council was inevitable. It would have likely been quite a bit of resistance if it wasn't for Saint Ortega, the only living Ten Sun Saint, giving his support to the idea. There has still of course been some pushback from certain schools, but they have overall been following the new rules.
Structure
The organization overall has no true leader with each school being controlled by a specific master with many masters and teachers under them. Saints don't actually have any real power over anyone outside of their school but do generally command enormous amounts of respect given the fact that there's only ever one Saint in a generation if even that.
Culture
Each school has its own specific culture, but honor is an overall belief that has stuck around in every school.
