Known as the King of Coin, Demos Baridis is one of the richest men on Joia. He has held to the title of Exarch for well over three decades and though he is getting rather old, there is no sign that he is giving it up any time soon. Not unless he wants to anyway.
Starting out as nothing but a humble merchant, not even part of one of the Old Families of Penelopia, he has clawed his way up the ranks until he held enough favors that he could be elected and has used the station to enrich himself, as well as the city itself, evermore.
