ELF - The Elven Gambit

When Iyallow was ready for life and the gods opened the door, the elves of the First World descended into civil war. This is no exaggeration. Up until then, there was no one thing worth fighting over but now there were two choices: go and stay. And from those choices they realized, there were more choices: how to go, where to go, why to stay. . . all the way down to "Who are we?" An innocent people shed blood over such questions. The birth of Iyallow was the end of paradise for the first people, and so many factions did indeed travel to the new world. There they found ways to survive: in forests and cities and caves and even under the waves. They stand now still by their great gambit to carve out their own identities separate from the haze of heaven.
