Ageenthum has been struggling for years with the lack of workforce that led to hyperinflation and breakdown of infrastructure due to underinvestment. The rigid caste system did not allow to manage and attract the workforce. Crisis effects were accumulating, and the ruling hierarch had to look beyond their realm for solutions.
  In 266 the trade deal was negotiated with Ashlyer. Workers came to Ageenthum to support the failing economy, and in return, Ashlyer secured the mineral wealth. It was said that Ashlyer negotiators masterfully took advantage of the desperate situation Ageenthum was in, and the deal was extremely profitable. The resources flowed into more technologically advanced Ashlyer manufactures, while Agennthum was locked into unfavorable contracts for metals and stones.
  The labor crisis was solved, but instead all the resources had to be poured into mining, and exporting the resources to Ashlyer left little to the local producers.
  However, the high demand in the mining industry led to technological advancements years down the line.
