Nyxalis

The Dreamweaver, The Primal Visionary, The Eternal Beast, The Trident Bearer, The Shadow Boar, The Star Beast

Deity of Animals, Cycles, and Subconscious.   Some worshippers perform ritual hunts and animal tracking to honor the cyclical nature of life, but the views are divided on these, as some believe that hunting is an affront to Nyxalis, The Eternal Beast. They pose that instead of creating animal sanctuaries where worshippers can connect with the primal essence, the sanctuaries need rather be created for humans in the places of primal and untouched nature.   Perseverance challenges to emulate the strength of boars and winged beings are another common way of honoring The Dreamweaver, but they don't come close to actual rigorous physical and mental trials that the clerics of Nyxalis got through to develop perseverance.   Dream interpretation is one of many functions that bring people to the clerics of Nyxalis. They also train in the art of dreamwalking and interpreting subconscious signals, as well as understanding and communicating with animals. They are masters of tracking and understanding animal behavior and cycles. More powerful priests could manipulate natural cycles, such as tides, migration patterns, and growth intensity. The artifacts crafted by Nyxalians have designs inspired by constellations and primal creatures.   The temples and shrines are constructed in natural settings, often near forests, oceans, or open skies. Observatories fashioned of several rough stones were probably the first type of such temples. More imposing larger temples are decorated with tridents, winged statues, and star motifs.   "The Cyclic Codex" is a compendium of teachings on the cycles of life, dreams, and the subconscious. "The Astral Bestiary" is a collection of stories and knowledge of mythical animals. Both text are important in the religious Nyxalian tradition.
