The Hunt for Yuel: Session 40, Crossovers and Easter Eggs

Blue, Vazulo, and Percy prayed to Doran and connected with Dor, the God of Language. Dor answered the prayer, but was not inclined to answer Vazulo's three questions. dor looked to blue as his previous self child to ask him to answer. Blue asked Dor to answer.

Percy's sister was alive. Oedric's body becme the ring, taking him back to the nine hells would allow his body to reform but also make him the most vulnerrable to death. Yuel could be saved but the longer they took, the number of options available to save her dwindled.

Vazulo taught blue how to be a good sibling by showin ghis good memeories and Percy's bad memories.

When Lorelei and Kinoko finally won they all appeared at the entrance. CLaus awarded them each 5000 gp. they then went to the Archfey who gave them each 25,000 gp.

Vazulo rushed to the Inn and had Sluce summon White back with an inconvienience fee of 5000 gp.

PErcy went into the undercroft to construct a statue of Blue. He met another Frog, a slow flat pudgy bright blue frogh who slurred all his words. Percy convinced him to treat the new statue like it was always there. The frog told percy to make it out of green stone if he wanted anyone else to beleive it. percy made a good but small statue of t"Blue, Deity of the Blue" and learnt the frogs name was "huHHn"

Kinoko had the archfey look at Grimheart and learnt it was from the Mother Tree, a giant tree from the first feywild. They learnt it could be temporarily cleansed, but getting rid of who or what was tainting th tree would resolve th problem more permanently.

The archfey explained that they could likely acces the first feywild from the first Shadowfel, which Lorelei was very familiar with. The Domains of Dread were sever parts of the first Shadowfel. There were severed parts of the first feywild as well, and the mother tree may very well be in one of them. the arch fey listed off all the domains of dread they knew.

after geting a brief explanation of the mist and the Domains, Lorelei left to investigate getting more bullets made and and sell the champion treasure.

She traded the grand slayer for a cube of force and three attunement stones.

Percy and Lorelie had Frezore enchant their crossbows(Lorelei's green crossbow and Percy's +2) with an undead slaying enchantment. Kinoko gave of the the Helllfire soup pot to be melted down to make 24 hellfire bullets and 6 hellfire arrow heads(1d6 bonus damage to celestials). The upgrading cost for the cross bows was 9000 gp each, Lorelei bought 20 sp worth of material to make 80 of bullets, and Frezore took an ingot of hellfire iron for the use of her forge. Lorelei and kinoko started making complete bullets.

When White arrived Vasulo had a tattoo of B put on their other thigh for 300 gp. and added Dor in Dragon claw style underneath for free. White planned to stick around into the next day just in case.

Vaszulo showed of his tattoo and then he and Percy went to look at the statue and work on there burgeoning religion. Vazulo met huHHHn

Percy then went to see Claus. They dropped their fiscades and speak semi openly. Percy was trying to convince Claus to run a party. Claus agreed though he was suspicios the party may interfere.

Vazulo asked Oedric if he could see Claus's true form and realized he had seen the Archfey for what they were the whole tiem and agreed to tell Vazulo when he saw "hot tall ladies" in the future, vazul then cross reference what he saw vs oedric with everyon eon the island and learnt was told all other were the same except, White who was a masive Red Dragon. Kinoko with her truesight still couldn't see the archfey wholey for what they were outside the Zenith rea

Kinoko continued to talk with the Archfey who had picked up on her flirtations and bugged her about them.

The poarty went to bed but agreed to meet in the zenith to exchange information safely with the party.

The next morning they went to the zentih. Vazulo took on the appearance of the Messenger. The party discussed what might happen inthe aftermath and options to free people with the key to forgotten doors. everyone was updated on Blue, and the budding religion, and making blue into a God. THe archfey did not expect an apocalypse to occur, destiny and CLaus would meet and claus would presumably try to convince destiny to help him or give him something. they decided leaving the key was still a good idea, to give people a way to escape that was the senteint gate. THe discussion touched on the idea they might not be leaving. THey decided to ask the Messenger if they could meet destiny and still follow Yuel. Kinoko with her truesight still couldn't see the archfey wholey for what they were outside the Zenith realized Oedrics truesight was something special.

They left the zenith and saw claus had wooden puppet running about setting up the "party" and thye all had sign of new growth on them. slowly all the other competitors the party had met arrived, including two new animalfolk, a rhinocerous person and an ostrictch aarokora. the ostrich hid its head when Kinoko waved at them. Tyranus Tri was there and had clearly purchased grand slayer. The party avoided his gaze. Percy gave a speech about how they were leaving but they were leaving a means for them to leave via the gate in Claus's tent. the lizardfolk seemed to accept it. soon a giant frog arrived hopping across the ocean, Hey appearead and explained that his older brother made tidal wave from hopping. He made ice when he hopped and landed on water. They're were crystals that made a magic barrier to protect this island from his tidal waves.

Claus finally gave a speach as the party prepared to enter. before they entered percy and Vazulo tried to remove Claus's mask. they failed and as they ran for the arena Percy was caught by a vine from Claus's pant leg. percy teleported out and the four entered the arena.

The party arrived in the Messengers arena and they began to ask questions. They confirmeda being like Destiny could easily get them back on Yuel's trail.

Vazulo realized the messenger was still blocking the portal from here and tried to move him by surpising him with a kiss. the messenger did not budge.

The Messenger explained the only loss of not going though this tear would be Percy would not see his sister today. The messenger explained them staying had many versions some where they killed claus others where claus killed them and parade their dead bodies around for eternity. Claus sought power, to give him what he thought he deserved, to match his bnriliance to other creture like him birthed in the astral sea. He had to make his case to Destiny. They asked about the Mother Tree, and learnt that it was tainted by figures in league with Cluas, others who believed they deserved more power then they had. they asked how to get there and he explained there were many ways but on was to already tol to them. when asked how to get there, he suggest sending and asking to be picked up.

They learnt that the other way was the astral sea as all tears to there were led to the present. there only issue was if a certain someone found their way into the astral sea and started closing tears. Vasulo asked about Sixsix, and was told to try sending with his stone. Vazulo sent and got a confused Feeloe. Percy sent with his stone and feeloe was more confused and apologized to percy for whatever he had said, and he had rooms to search. The messenger told him Sixsix was neither alive or dead. Vazulo asked about Oedric's body. The messnger re-explained his body was the ring. They argued, and Vazulo tried to to summon the broker which the other portest but focused back on continuing to question the messenger. Percy asked about certain future for their relationships. the messnger answered in dwarvish, there are timelines where what you want happend and those where it doesn't, but it doens't happen in any of them where you don't meet Destiny.

Lorelei confirm the situation with Mother Tree, that it was need to help protect her home, to help defeat Yuel, and that the tree istrying to heal so killing those tainting it will let it recover. Vazulo asked about the Gods' Killer and learnt he was also neither alive or dead. this was also becuse of the what feeloe had been doing and experience that past 5-6 days. This also involved the person they did not want in the astral sea. The messenger showed them an image of Rhylee St. Claire. He went on to explain that if Feeloe had faile dor succeed there would be nothing of concern. he had been running experiments on Yuels blood and Vazulo had sent him a Moonfolk and a Celestial to compare.

Percy asked if the messenger would help them to fight there new enemies. He asked if they really wanted them to try and fight the chosen of Spearadear. Vazulo was furious that he was not the chosen of Spearadear. considering how they talk all the time.

The Messenger explained that the St. Claire twins were having a greatinflunece on Vazulo's past. That killing them could prevent Vazulo or Yuel form coming into existence. Everything derailed as percy and Vazulo vent and theorized.

they began to focus, percy asked about igra, and learnt that she was developing, and the blood of hagrath was not disipating as it did for others.

lorelei focused on their goals. and this led to her explaining Feln, her ally on Barovia. They asked about why Destiny wa sin th evault, Destiny had the power to control the fates of everyone including gods. many gods feared this, other god feared the lack of choice for their creations. but fear was the core motivation.

Vazulo asked about being made into the chose n of spearadear by destiny and learnt the rulesin vazulos time were different then in the presnet. in the future, chose could not use their powers off of Ithica.

refocuising again, Vazulo asked about Claus's weakness, he was a plant weak to poison, and psychic should be avoided at all cost.

Kinoko found an opportunit i their re found focus to talk to the party to get important answers from the messenger. Kinoko asked why Percy didn't want to meet his sister after what they had talked about. Percy explained he couldn't live with himself if something truly terrible happened because of Claus meeting destiny. The messenger told them Percy's sister was looking for Percy, they would corss paths eventually. percy's sister was being contorlled by Bithlem who was, at least in part, inside of her. She was Bithlem's Prophet, and Percy was his Bane. Freeing her required killing Bithlem, killing her would not even succesfully kill her. Bithlem was yet another creature birthed form the energys of creation in the astral sea.

Kinoko asked why Lorelei's vengance was incomplete. The messenger asked what she thought that meant. She said Strahd is still alive? THe messenger confirmed he was but he was not the only one that deserved her vengance. They would discover "them" if they continued to hunt Yuel. If she meant with destiny, they would give a much better answer then he could.

Vazulo asked if there was a way to save his parents. there was if he traversed the right tears long enough to get there but he could simply wait to die and meet them in coraloon. he would be allowed in, and if she still became the Red lady he would have no choice. Spearadear was on a path to become the Red Lady.

Kinoko asked if the Kezia Spore Grove is safe. The Messenger said its was safe and healthy, and would be long after Kinoko died. Lorelei was confused, she thought Kinoko's home was in danger. Percy in a abusrd exciment was placed inside silence. Lorelei watched kinok suspiciously as she and Vazulo both saw that kinoko was not keeoing a dnagerous secret but was keeoing something to herself.

The whispering one took of his necklace and his armor and then destroyed himself while telling th eparty they would meet again.
