The Hunt for Yuel: Session 18

General Summary

The party attacked Razik while she had her guard down. Kinoko, being immune to Razak’s poison, hindered Razik severely and attacking her in the hallway did seem to severely limit her options. When Razik did join the fight proper, she filled the entire hall with a thick gas. The party managed to defeat Razik who exploded, filling the same space as her gas with a waist high layer of her poisonous fluid.   The party escaped the poison. Vazulo and Kinokomanaged to gather 11 viles (Vazulo got 4 and Kinoko got 7) of poison. The party moved into a hallway without any poison and took a long rest as Mudd enclosed them and made them beds from mud.   In the morning Kinoko cast foresight on Lorelei. Vazulo used his poisoners kit to create a batch of additional poisons. Mudd spied on the cathedral again. Krass and Orioak were debating how they would fight the party when they arrived. Granway seemed aware of Mudd’s presence. Sixsix sent to Vazulo. He had arrived on Valnar and Feeloe wasn’t letting him in. Vazulo updated him on what was going on on Moda. Feeloe also messaged Percy to let him know that he had found the Celestial. It triggered a trap room for when people use the teleporter with out the desk being moved. He had found the Celestial and he was stable now. Percy told him about Sixsix, describing him as a friend looking for God.   The party explored the castle and discovered there were no other rooms, just a massive grid of hallways surrounding the cathedral. They approached from the west side of the cathedral and started to spy again. Mudd explained the cathedral was based on a cathedral from another plane that the Queen had found inspiring. He also told the party he was expecting there to be some sort of mud he could use in the castle. Without the additional mud he couldn’t achieve a more powerful form, assuming he was hurt enough to kick off his natural instincts. Kinoko turned a massive amount of the stone wall into mud giving mud the ability to take this larger more powerful form.   The party finally approached the four remaining false Gods and began to converse. The party learnt that they all seemed to to be under some kind of mind control themselves which when triggered caused their eyes to go white. Orioak was triggered by talking about planes, Granway was triggered by mention of the castle being designed or modified by him, and they all seemed to be triggered by any evidence of the mind control. They also learnt that Yuel had spoken to the Gods about godhood, becoming a God and how they got their, before she became disinterested and challenged Razik. She stole Razik's "artifact", which protected the wearer from divination magic in a dditon to another effect or ability, by cutting off her arm in combat. She then plane shifted away. Mudd eventually confirmed Krass’s mind was being controlled.   Yuel felt bad about Orioak and the party readdressed who to fight next. They started to discuss fighting them. They learnt while the Gods didn’t make the castle, they did make their cathedral “arenas”. Granway offered that if they defeated him, made him surrender, there reward would be “answers”. This confused the other false Gods.   The party agreed to fight him and they were transferred to Granway’s arena.

Rewards Granted

11 viles of Razik Poison. A creature hit with a weapon coated in this poison must make a DC 19 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the creature takes 30 (6d6) poison damage, and it is poisoned of for 1 minute. On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage with no additional effects. A poisoned creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.
