The Chronicles of the Itharia: Session Sixty

General Summary

Ranrus started his interview with Grarrl. Grarrl asked about the nature of his faith, the difference in cleric on Eberron and Ithica, his rituals and tenets, which gods their planes shared (as it turned out it was just Erathis and Morradin, and Eberonians didn't seem to worship any of the expanded racial pantheons). He was especially interested in the result of Ranrus's commune spell. Ranrus asked about the Mercy Bringer and the Raven Queens Avenger and Grarrl, thinking they sounded familiar, suggested Ranrus talk to Kip.   Rhy went to speak with Meron briefly who countered her argument of the existence of celestials with the fact that celestials were not that much different then humanoids and while powerful, none were creating life, master of domains, or immortal omnipotent beings.   Lee went to see if they could find Hizeru, concerned they may have been a child being taken advantage of. Lee found them yelling heroically beside a half elf in black robes filling jars with dirt. Hizeru was very expressivel, introducing themselves to Lee. The half-elf took the opportunity of Hizeru being distracted to take his jars of dirt into the library, inviting Lee to come talk to him if Lee wanted to know what the jars of mud and dirt were about. Lee learned that Hizeru was not a child but in fact was25 years old. Hizeru was shortly very suspicious of Lee asking about if they liked it at the library until they realized Lee thought they were a child and was just worried about a kid. Hizeru assured Lee it was not an issue. Hizeru showed off their sword, a giant made blade they had commissioned under tab they got with their Lordheir mark. Hizeru's Lordheir mark is a tattoo on their hand and forearm. The mark designated them as the the successor to their father whom Hizeru thought may of sent Lee to retreive "him". Hizeru Revealed they had some sort of "voice" in their head. Hizeru then shared with Lee their love, Animatta Novela. Hizeru and the voice loved these particular stories, showing Lee a copy of "The Guild", the fictional adventures of Izret and his party. Lee revealed to Hizeru he had met Ohpa, and that he was related to Izret. This greatly impressed Hizeru and They asked if Lee would like to read The Guild. They ran off to collect the first book for Lee.   Lee returned to the library to find his sister. On his way he checked the bag he took from the ship and discovered three additional cards from the deck.   After the interview Grarrl return to his research office with Rhy and Ranrus went to look for Meron.   Theren mean while was looking for Grarrl, to talk about their own experience with gods and plane shifting.   Ranrus on his way found a strange Lizardfolk hiding in the stacks. The Lizardfolk expressed his need to be: sneakier, more quite, one with silence; so he could be better at his job of not stealing, but retrieving information.   Rhy and Grarrl continued to catch up. She informed him that she was a descendent of Izret and planned to join the guild. Grarrl hoped he could come stay with her to interview guild members.   Theren arrived and offered to tell him what they knew. Starting with how they met a god. Rhy left and went looking for books on Spearadear and to see if she saw any of the others. Theren told Grarrl that while they were dead they had a met a god, and then Yua. They mentioned how Yua had spoke of not being a chosen and that "they", the other god, wasn't supposed to be there. Yua then expressed something about her champion and gave Theren a card. Theren showed Grarrl the card and he new of it. Some members of guild of Izret had traded him information and in there questioning about the cards, revealed a likely connection between them and Yua, and that the complete deck could do incredible magical things. He suspected they also had some cards, but couldn't know for sure. Grarrl asked about the gods of Theren's plane, and kept pushing them to describe the first god but Theren did not budge. Having little religious back ground Grarrl had very few additional questions, but the mention of chosen made him want to talk to Kip as this started to remind him of kips research, or maybe ravings. The two headed out of his research office together.   Rhy and Lee found each other. Lee revealed he found three more cards and after brief questioning Rhy determined her brother had taken them from Tholly's ship. The two got into a loud verbal altercation over stealing that resulted in many low blows, and hurtful statements, including the suggestion that Rhy only cared because of Tholly. The two eventually stormed away but not before Rhy fired off an eldritch blast which missed her brother. This provoked the Lizardfolk in hiding to tackle Rhy, annoyed that she would cast a damaging spell in a library and that she was yelling in a library. The Lizardfolk left quickly mumbling to himself.   Lee storming off, ran into Theren and Grarrl who had heard some of the yelling. Grarrl just awkwardly spoke, hoping Theren would say something. Lee aimed to leave the library to go get a drink but was followed by his sister who tracked him down and apologized. The two came to an agreement to return the cards to Tholly when it was convenient and in turn Rhy would help Lee steal something from a bad person potentially using her womanly wilds. As they found a common-ish ground, Hizeru arrived with the first three animatta novella of The Guild. On the cover of one was Ohpa. While it was recognizably Ohpa, his hair was a bit like a mohawk, his pony tail extremely long, his sword was ridiculously big, and he had large scar over one eye. Upon mentioning in one story Izret was potentially involved with a party member the twins request to read that the Hizeru retrieved volumes 4-10 for them.     Theren, on their own again, found a book on the Temple of Ioun, outlining its place in Benarra including: its massive sprawling undergorund library magically protected national records, and its function with a second council that managed public education.   During all this Ranrus found Meron and the two had a "debate" over the nature of Ranrus's power and what Onatar might be in actuality. Meron was convinced nothing Ranrus said was definitively god like and that the nature of Ranrus's power might be just akin to that of a warlock. Meron parted offering to help with Ranrus's Warforged research, and Ranrus was left to consider how to better explain himself in future.   Rhy found Grarrl and apologized for the incident. He explained it wasn't a big deal and that family does that sort of thing. Rhy mentioned the Lizardfolk and Grarrl explained that was Flagenza (likely Flag) and that he was very strange. He also mentioned that his surprise that Rhy knew Artholomew Wandslinger having overheard some of the fight. Rhy was quite embarrassed but Grarrl didn't say or imply he'd heard more then the name. He explained Tholly often visited the library and the Temple of Ioun when he was in port. He mentioned that Theren had met two gods, one more then Rhy was aware of. The two began a deep discussion. Focusing on the fact that if the gods were far away why had two reached out Theren and if Bahamut was so far away how had he manifested his fist to aid Ohpa. The two ran down a rabbit hole of things that all worked around was there a rule in place stopping the gods: a rule evil and chaotic gods might ignore; or was their a barrier: something only strong gods could get past. Grarrl believed knowing which other god spoke to Theren would be key in figuring out what direction to look and further his research.   The party gathered and went looking for a shop. They found Sindtrel's Supplies, a store seemingly catering to clerics and paladins, owned by a Silver Dragonborn woman. She was quite helpful to Ranrus, but proved to be very closed minded. She eventually became incredibly frustrated with the party selling them some random magic items and demanding they leave the store. In some sort of apology Lee gave her a 10 gold and then switched for 1 platinum piece (since she was a worshiper of Bahamut), a platinum piece minted with an eye of Vecna. Sindtrel freaked out and ordered them out. Outside the party met a Half-elf and Orc in armor bearing the symbol of Bahamut wreathed in black feathers. They were just checking in on the commotion. Lee stopped in the store next door to buy supplies for his aid for reaching Saransina     Date: 27th of Gorim
