The Chronicles of the Itharia: Session Forty-eight

Lee, Theren, and Rhy went to The Betting Poole. Rhy immediately started drinking, heavily. Lee concerned for his sister quickly realized he should give her some space, something Theren assisted with. Theren and Lee went to a side table and had a short and awkward discussion about the relationship between siblings.   Ohpa Gumnan and Ranrus arrived. Ohpa seemed upset or angry and ordered a single drink. Ranrus order two drinks and a meal and after making failed small talk with Rhy and Ohpa moved off on his own.   Orethia Ovethekali found herself trying to help, but quickly realizing, despite recent events with the party, she knows very little about them. She gave up and left Rhy to her own devices.   Ohpa stared at Rhy calmly. A very drunk Rhy tried to stared back. As Ohpa reached out to use lay on hands a passer by commented on him making a move on yet another younger woman. The room immediately darkened and the passerby collapsed to the ground and as Ohpa moved up on him. Ohpa pulled them in close whispering something threatening to them before letting them go and the room returned to normal. Ohpa used lay on hands on Rhy, sobering her up and walking out of the bar. Rhy followed and called out to him.   Ohpa spoke to her about drinking as a coping mechanism, her connection to Spearadear, and what Phoenix Arcania House has planned for them. He revealed Phoenix Arcania house is planning to offer them the option to join the house and they were expected to take it. He wished for much more for the twins. He encouraged Rhy to embrace the chaos since her connection to a chaotic god likely meant things would go in her favour more often then not, like how things go in his favour when he follows "the law".   Rhy, sober, returned to the others and told them what she had learned about Phoenix Arcania House and the results of their actions. The party debated leaving, staying until the council meeting, leaving the city and never returning, and a variety of other options. They decided to sleep on it. Lee went to spend the night with Stay and Rhy went to see Auna.    When Rhy arrived at Kirrin House she was greeted by a member who knew her by name and took her to the room the twins were staying in. Rhy overheard a brief interaction between the twins learning that amongst other things, someone at Kirrin house was clearly asking Oula to have sex with them. Rhy stayed with Auna while Oula went out to get into some fights. In the morning Oula had returned and Rhy informed them of the parties aim to hunt the Bellower today. They agreed to meet by the gate.   Back at The Cats Cradle Lee arrived and found a note in his empty room which he quickly burnt. The party got together and headed for the gates where they met the moonfolk twins. After a brief discussion the party learnt the journey to the wilds should take about two days on foot despite their journey from the wildsto snowbright having  only taken a day. Rhy realized this is the longest they've been away from The World Mirror  since joining the Itharia and that may be a part of this strangeness that the twins and in part Ranrus had noticed with their travel.   As night fell the party got in the voluptuous bird of travel, which, luckily was given directions before it picked up all the party members. The next morning they awoke to find themselves ejected from the bird in The Wilds  near a clearing. Soon after, either do to Lee's calls or just their presence, a Bellower arrived. The party fought it and though they found themselves doing very little melee damage Ranrus ,Oula, and Auna distracted it while the casters wailed on it. When it was finally brought down Oula and Auna began skinning it. They revealed the hides complete immunity to mundane weapons, meaning the skinning process is slow but impossible to damage if done with a mundane blade. Ranrus inspected the body noticing the creatures skin showed age and many old injuries, most notably of which were injuries to the face similar to aggressive obedience training on beast of burden or war beasts. Soon after this realization a squeaky voice came from the trees above "Why did you kill our pet?"   Date: 16th and 17th of Gorim.
