The Chronicles of the Itharia: Session Fifty-seven

The party woke well rested, well all but one. Ranrus since the night he stayed alone in the Murder Mansion has been having a recurring nightmare of a snow covered battlefield where he was forced to slay dwarves'. This night as the dream began he didn't feel like the passive observer he had been up till now, he had some agency. He didn't step forward and start attacking as he usually did. A voice spoke to him trying to convince him to start the killings as normal. Ranrus fought the voice and succeeded in resisting. the dream jumped forward to its end result but Ranrus seemingly was uninvolved his axe blade clean. The voice spoke one last time before he woke up "we are not allies, enjoy your waking hours."   The day for the party started slow. Ranrus and Lee went up on deck to help where they could and observe the ships operation. Rhy read the journal/hymn book from Aullen Grove, and found one entry of interest about travelers who arrived, one of which was a cleric of Ioun. The cleric seemed confused by the nature of the village and the writer was confused by their confusion. The others that traveled with the cleric joined the village and the cleric eventually left, and while they hadn't directly expressed their anger the writer felt that the cleric was angry or mad at them.   In late morning a ship appeared on the horizon and according to Thiplewhip did not appropriately change their flag as they approached. Tholly in response, fired off two fireballs in quick succession at an incredible range. The ship began to sink in minutes.   Tholly invited the party to join him, Thiblewip, and Gronco for lunch. During lunch he discussed with the party his wands, how Gronco came to be his second mate, some of their interactions with the fire giants, and briefly about found family. Tholly left and a discussion began with Gronco that, once turning to Cassiopeia and her "healing" caused Thiplewhip to rush out, her little ears uncomfortable around talks about sex and etc. Rhy noticing underlying motivation in her brothers conversation left around the same time. Gronco had a strange reaction to statement about Tholly adopting children but he pressed on, discussing Cassiopeia's over all strangeness, like her desire to have Tholly's child. Soon after Tholly signaled the approach of a stone ship.   Combat commenced. Rhy greatly hindered the giants by turning one of their allies against them. Tholly unleashed devastating lighting bolt and radiant meteors. Even Darrius seemed to unleash a notable fury of attack's. The party slew most of the giants and Tholly bombarded the stone ship discouraging any other giants from joining the fray. While Thiblewip and Gronco took quite the beating and two other crewmembers were knocked unconscious the party succeeded and healed the two downed crewman Gronco, and Thiblewip.   Date- the 25th of Gorim
