The Chronicles of the Itharia: Session Fifty-four
General Summary
The party woke, spread throughout the city. Lee went to The Broken Handle and had a meal of turtle soup and contemplated the unlikelihood of him having time by himself for the foreseeable future.
Theren woke and snuck out of Williams home and returned to The Cats Cradle.
Rhy left Auna a note, kissed her on the fore head and quietly slipped away. t=The three gathered there things at the Cats cradle and made there way to the The Murder Mansion where they found Ranrus reading a large book with s liver sun with a red jewel in its front.
The party headed south. An hour or so out of Snowbright they saw a strange glowing green object Ranrus identified as a jewel. As he approached the light grew, blinding the party and when the light faded it revealed a metallic, green and white snake. It attacked, but the party swiftly dispatched it. Once it was defeated it left in flash of moving light, not unlike how Alesha, the Red disappeared after she was defeated in Dark Mound. The party pondered the meaning of this, noting the jewel was most assuredly the large Emerald Erma, the Green had in her chest in the ruins.
They proceed south. Sleeping tin the bird of travel through the night. Rhy read more of the Tome of the Jester staying up the entire night.
the next day they passed the area they had fought the bellowers, and it had begun to grow back full of many saplings.
further in the day, Ranrus saw a sign post for Aul~ Grove and remembered reading about a safe place in the wild that had "something happen to it" over 100 years ago, called Aullen grove. Rhy seemed especially interested and the party went to look. They found a full village and though the buildings were collapsing, the wilds had not, in the slightest, begun to take the St back. there was whiteish red fog or mist through the village, and there was an unnatural silence all about. the party investigated a church, shop and inn finding many statues to an entity or god named Fynn. They found a journal/religious text to Fynn in the church. Statues of Fynn they found gave out the warm friendly feeling of comfort. but aside form them their seemed to be nothing magical in the town.
Rhy discovered she had no connection to Sasnia and immediately grew paranoid about Fynn, trying to destroy one of their statues to no avail. The party continued to investigate and tried to communicate with Fynn. Ranrus dispelled the magic on the statue in the church breaking the magic on all of them. as soo n as the magic was gone, the cold damn uncomfortable nature of the fog ran over them. with the magic broken Rhy still could not reach Sasnia. she eft the village stepping into the tree line of the wilds and her connection was restored. her question were given no good answers and when asked bluntly about why the god were different on Nowch she was told, "You know I can't tell you about that." the party made multiple attempts to reach out to to Fynn but only got four possible responses, Theren felt a whimper inside them, Lee saw two drop of wet in the fountain, Ranrus felt a momentary warmth like the statues and it began to rain. it was unclear if these were acts of Fynn or just random happenstance. the party left with many questions. The traveled by bird overnight again. Rhy continued to read. the next day near the time the bird would return to its doll form it picked up a member of Bahamut Paladia, dwarven paladin who was very confused, Rhy confused him further after there having not slept in 48 hours. the soon were ejected from the bird, and the paladin informed them the bird had been chasing him around for an hour and that he was there to give traveler headed south a warning about fire giants raiding northern Benara.
The party switched back and forth on whether to go help with the giants of take a ship from Greytide, mostly pushed by a sleep deprived Rhy who thought fighting and small army of fire giants sounded fun. They left the paladin and headed west arriving in Greytide in late morning
