The Chronicles of the Itharia, The Murder Mansion: Session Twenty-four
General Summary
The party left the coat room and head to the blacksmith workshop. As they entered they were immediately set upon by four swarms of fire birds. After dispatching the birds the party began investigating the large blacksmith workshop. Ranrus discovered a phoenix feather in the forge which appeared to be used to increase the heat of the flames inside.
The party studied the room, and Rhy noticed a strange pillar containing some sort of magic. Theren and Lee took all the weapons on display by the windows. After collecting everything of value they could see including several chunks of enchanted amber they went into the adjacent dining room. Upon noticing and elf sitting at the table Theren addressed it in elvish and received a splash of acid for their trouble. The party defeated the elf and escaped the trap of the chandelier of patriarch protection. They discovered the vases in this room were enchanted with transmutation magic. Upon exploring the room they also saw into the kitchen where there were a large group of chickens. Upon opening the door to the kitchen Ranrus roasted the chickens with a wall of fire. After defeating the strange chicken swarm creature the party took a long rest in the kitchen
Ranrus identified the weapons, determining they were "Snowbreaker Weapons" and were each cursed. The curse was unclear but it does have some effect on ones morals. Lee gathered the cutlery, crystal, and cookware from the kitchen and left it in the dining room near one of the vases he hopes to take with him when the party eventually leaves the mansion. The party made there way upstairs where Rhy used her ghostly gaze to observe the rooms on the west side of the house, seeing an alchemic laboratory, a sewing studio, and bedroom, and bed room with a ghost in it, who turned out to be Bit’tun Snowbreaker. Bit’tun, was the ghost that lee had played chess with and requested the party retrieve his skull. He promised to answer nay questions he could and suitably reward them if they brought him back his head. He told the party about the home, mentioning his brother Hummel (who killed him), his sister’s Lestria and Oup’tat, the twins, and their sibling Arthwurp. The party left Bit’tun as he lost interest in them his focus seeming to drift off and back to his body, once again.
