The Chronicles of the Itharia, The Murder Mansion: Session Twenty-eight
General Summary
After a short rest the party joined Lee in trying to inspect the puzzle. Rhy used her ghostly gaze to see the inside of the vault and try to get a handle on its mechanism. She and her brother successfully opened the vault and found a silver rod, and two potions.
the perty headed east into a room with strange triangular walls. The party propped the door open using the giant's ritual dagger, as they thought it might be the room they were warned about by Lestria. they investigated the room and found various signs of traps but it wasn't clear what triggered it or if it was functioning.
They made their way through the room and into a large room a with a huge armored statue. There was also another pillar that lined up with the previous pillar and coil. Investigating that pillar were two small purple humanoids (weavelings). They psychically spoke to Rhy, Theren, and Ranrus. They asked about various magic things through out the room including the statue asking "why it wasn't moving?" After a back and forth the two weavelings crawl into the air to take some sort of magic nap.
Ranrus tried to open one of the two large chest in the room but triggered a trap, cause the chest to descend into the floors and a pair of living armors to rise out and attack. After they defeated the armors Lee and Ranrus, investigated the larger statue.Lee determined the pedestal was not trapped and if it could move, it was not triggered mechanically. Ranrus identified it as an Iron golem. He knew it typically required orders and it repaired itself with fire. neither knew why it was dormant/not doing anything.
The party headed back through the triangle trap room. Ranrus collected the giant dagger. Headed to the south the party found another room with the trap in the carpet. of which most of the party ended up stepping into, triggering the hidden spikes.
Headed out to of the room the party found a hall way curving to the west and portraits to the east. The party inspected the portraits, seeming to identify them west to east as Arthwurp, Rikken, and Oup'tat. They then head back to the curved hall and discovered a locked heavy metal door, and two wooden doors. After investigating the metal door the went to the north wooden door and found a plane bedroom with two chests. Lee managed to discovered tboth chests traps but only disabled one effectively. the secod trap went of traping lee unnd a massive piston.
after unlocking the chest the party founch a small clock work egg, some tools, many schematics, and a notebook. Ranrus found notes for the three vaults Arthwurp made for his siblings. Rhy picked up the egg causing it to unfold into a 3 foot tall clockwork humanoid. She and pip befriended it and returned it to its egg form before
