The Chronicles of the Itharia, The Murder Mansion: Session Thirty-Six

The party discussed what to do with Eragis and decided, at least in the short term, that they needed to clear the basement of enemies and traps before  releasing him.  the party headed for the curtains exit of the hall where lee was trapped in a hall with  two windows, each containing someone in distress. After approaching a little girl and then turning to help a woman  lee found himself in the possession of a box and blamed for "her" death, presumably the death of the little girl. The box contained  a bone stake carved with draconic runes wrapped in a letter. The letter read:   To whomever may find this,     I deliver this gift and a suggestion. Drive this stake into any heart that offers itself and watch as only Good Favour finds you. I do believe my messenger offered her heart to you, did she not?   Oddi   The party proceeded deeper into the basement and found the hammock room Rhy had seen. Inside the party found four fey manti that slowly approached. Ranrus decided to attack them and the party quickly did away with them. as they made their way deeper, they were attack from the darkness, Thuma, the Matriarch, in a decrepit undead state attacked them in the narrow hall. the party successfully killed her again this time each blow not just harming her but deteriatin her body further. as the final blow was made what little was left of her form  disappeared like burning paper.   They took a short rest and Ranrus identified the  stuffed bird they found earlier. Rhy attempted to decode the manual but  couldn't quite crack the code.   Date: 12 of Gorim
