Hunt for Yuel: Session 23

As Lorelei finished making her wish with the luck blade she immedialty felt something was off as she was enveloped in shadow. the rest of the party was ensnared and some fought it, but they were all pulled in. They found themselve in a 30ft x 30ft x 30ft stne room with a aspect of a Devil that called himself the the Broker.   Most of the Hunters were paralyzed by an unseen effect and the broker began a dialogue with them, thanking Lorelei for freeing him and acknowledging her wish. The luck blade seemed to have transformed into a tarnished brass bangel. He began to bargain with Lorelei as to what she could give him so that he could fufill as much of the wish as he could. He was seeking the sun sword for another "client". They negotiated back and fourth, ith intermitent interuptions by Vazulo and Percy flipping from states of bravado ( prayto spearadear, other Gods, Granway, and even Feeloe) to fear.   Amidst the negotiation Vazulo transformed into a tree. Lorelei did eventually reach a satifsfactory deal trading the sun sword with its permission to the borker to free all the innocent souls currently trapped to apporpriate afterlifes, and that souls that died in the future would also not be trapped, anywhere in the Domain of Dread.   The deal brokered the Fiend explained how to reach him in future, was to set acampfire and throw holly onto it and then say his name. As they began to part, the Broker revealed he was the one who brokered Oedric into Valnar. Vazulo started to negotiate as a result for information during which it was reveal the Broker had been able to hear them from inside the sword and knew many details about the party. Indiscussing option of payment delayed payment was an option but if Vazulo failed to deliver then the payment would be up the Broker, he gave the example that in the deal he had brokered for the Sunsword, he had 100 years to deliver. The broker offered to give vazulo the information he wanted for viles of the blood currently in Yule with delivery date of 365 Astral Sea days. this led to the party learning that the astral sea was static in 30 hour "days". The Broker was honest he could not promise an answer on Yuel's whereabouts until he reconnected with his whole self and that they should reach out in a day time on Danandra. Soon Kiniko ask to get out and the Broker pushed her out, alone. Vazulo was shunted out soon after.   Alone with his "saviours" Percy and Lorelei, he asked if there was anything else he could do. Lorelei asked for proof of the souls being freed. The broker showed her Barovia, the town. The town looked better and the veiw swooped over the town and into a home where Lorelei saw an old man pass and she knew his soul was not trapped. She also saw a statue that looked earily similar to herself in the town square. Percy leveraged the favour he was owed to get Lorelei information on the statue. He explained Barovia had a new dominant religion, the Church of the Veiled Hunter.   He sent them both back to the bar. Lorelei updated the party to what had actually happened with the Broker. They discussed the religion and the possible ways it might of come to be and with the inability for things to die, wether or not the vampire would stay dead.   Kelger joined and tried to add what he knew about the Domains of Dread to the conversation. Hunters believed each domain was a prison for a singular individual and the dark forces that created those domains want them to be punished forever.   Percy realizing Cairn was present, teleported out and Kiniko went to keep tabs on him. Percy started talking to high people in the main room.   Lorelei requested a sending scrool and soon after the Tabaxi fire keeper gave her a scroll of sending. Rhy requested to have her new bangel identified and the hunter Jared was sent in identidying ot as a sentient weapon named Molder.   In the other room Percy recovering from the contact high stepped outside with Kinoko and the to started thinking to look for Igra again.   Lorelei attuned to Molder.
