Chronicles of the Realm Walkers: Session 54

With the fight with Eragis over Rhy reached out to Sasnia. there was a pause, a real pause not like the barel noticable ones she had experienced recently, as she succesfully reached out but still had to wait to be pulled into Sasnia's realm. for the first time in her life in this space Rhy could see Sasnia.   Rhy asked where Eragis went and Sasnia focused and could only determine Eragis had gone somewher eto which he had permission and sasnia did not, wether in be a divine domain or other wise. Rhy renewed her promise to kill Eragis and HRy returned from the space to her body. In a fit of rage Rhy brought down a magical pillar of ice where eragis had been standing.   With Lee returned Ysir asked where he had gone, and Lee described it as maybe hellish. lee mentioned the sigil or circle wherre he had been and rhy immediatly wondered if Lee could recreate it. Lee tried to draw out what he remebemered and Rhy and Theren tried to adjust symbols to meet the requirements of teleportation cirlces. While most of the circle made sense it would need to be perfect which left them in a less helpful spot.   This may of been a good thing as Lee pointed out that the permissionsaround the space may be more complicated wether it be dangerous fo them to go or that eragis may not be allowed back himself.   THeren reveal that they had taunted Eragis and that Eragis now was hunting them. Ysir immediatly lost what faith he had in theren's ability to not cause unnecessary conflict with powerful entities.   Theren drew the parties attention to the statue inthe temple which Eragis had been speaking to. They investigated the statue thourougly. Lee was unable to identify the godess, she was not one he realized but she had clear harvest iconography. Theren found nothing magic or arcane on a visual inspection. Lee looked into the age and found it was very new.   Lee started to hypothesize if this goddess might be eragis godess remembering that the devil like entity where he was trapped mention a "she" whom eragis had made a deal with.   They began to investigate the area. Immediatly around the temple were fields but beyond that they found the foundation of many small buildings akin to houses (none of which seemed to have been destroyed, but instead stripped down) and one large two story wooden Hall like building. The party entered the building a found what appeared to be a massive banquet hall. This large chamber took up the majority of the interior space of the building the the secondstory being open witht two walk wa rung the lgthes of the room. At either hend of the hall were doors leeding to significantly smaler section of areas. on each of the pillars supporting the walkway and cieling were statued of the same goddess as the temple. The party sensed no divinity present as the considered what had happened in Aullen Grove. the head to the northside of the room and pushed open the door and found a small halway with one more room and barn style staircase leadeing to the second floor.   They look into the room and found a kitchen with food left mid preperation. based on the burnt food, linger ing smell of smoke and burnt spices that the meal preparation like started within 18-24 hours, before it became clearly unattended.   leaving the kitchen even further puzzled the investigated the upstairs. at the top of the stairs in the space above the kitchen were tenn rows of hammoks three high. Sieeing that this space could house a significant number of people and that they had not seen nearly that many bodies the party theorized as to what happened. eragis presumably had 18-24 hours to do whatever he did. Lee reminde dthe party he saw eragis hold a body that slowly burnt up leaving no ash behind. Rhy wondered if he was sending the souls along as some sort of payment or if the people living here had worshiped some deity and gain powers of some kind. They compared it to his attack on the other town they saw and wondered why they were different. One conclusion being that this town had specific resources he needed and potentially pertained to a new contract.   Next the headed acro the walkway to the south end of the building where the there was alarge curtain blocking the space from view. pulling the curatin aside the party found a large open space full of cushions and incense pots, tall acandelabra's, carafs of wine.   Lee started looking for any signs of hiding spots, and while he found potential hiding spots, none of them contained anything.   they made their way down the stir into a hall nearly identical to the on on the north end of the fist floor and proceed into the unexplored room. there were two large casks and a large hatched door in the floor. they opened it and proceeded down, and found them selves in a long cold celarr wthi som wine, harvest, and wine celalr table with a single nearly burnt out lit candle. Beyond the table the cellar extendend to a long dug out tunnel. After 20 minute of walking slowly sloping downward the party was far past the boundaries of the building when they found a carved out domed chamber. In the center of the chamber was an identical 6 foot statue of the unkown harvest goddess on top a of a shaped but sitill mostly natural rock in the same brand new condition of the others. Theren ost detect magic and immediatly detected an illusion on top of the statue. Theren began to feel through the statue to determine its actuall form.   Eventaully the illusion feel away for theren and instead of the harvest goddess the saw a bronze statue of a scantly clad woman sitting on the back of a masculine humanoid, propping a foot up on another masculine humanoid, her large wing folded and samll horn on her forehaed, a goblet in one hand, and a third masculine humanoid holding a bowl of her fruit for ease of reach.   Look at the position of pwer and presentation Rhy discerned this was most likely a statue of Glasya,Lord of the Sixth, who was also the daughter of Asmodeus the creator of the Nine Hells. The party assumed Eragis must have made a deal with Glasya.   The illusion broke for everyone. Lee reached out and touched Glaysa's statue on her ankle, running his hand up the leg where he caught himself having abnormal lecherous thoughts clawing at his mind.   The Realm Walkers continued to spit ball ideas on how to go about how to deal with or hunt Eragis going forward. one idea was to try to summon Eragis, which they Theren was in comfortable with. Rhy suggested getting Lestria's help in summoning Eragis. Rhy rached out to Lestria asking if she would be able to or if it could be done. Lestria repleid that acadmically it could be doen but preperation would take some time and would require a something strongly associated with the target and theat she was not comfortable doing that sort of thing anymore.   The party considered the options to bait him and decided the Realm Walkers were likely enticing enough.   As the party prepared to rest the idea o destroying th statues of Glaysa. Ranrus started on the statue in front of them using his channel divinity to mold the metal. Moments after starting the domed room become very bright as the entry way has been filled with a black flame archway filled with orange flame blocking the entrance. ranrus continued ignoring the arch way as the room began to get warmer and warmer and the sound of drummming starts coming from the archway. Ranrus stopped at this point. He tested the archway by throwing a pebble through the archway and the wall of flame reacted less like falme and more like water but not completeyl one or the other. seeing nop obvious problem he poked his head through.   On the other side Ranrus saw a massiv ecathedral with tower pillars and massive stain glassed widows filled reds and berugundies, depicting devils in combat , with angels, demons, heors, monstrocity etc. at the end of tha cathedral hall is a throne. Sitting in the thron is a bronze skinned feminine figure flanked by two masculine figurs and laying front a massive cat like creature. the two mascuiline figures and the cat stared toward Ranrus. seinng sclear siimilaritys between the figure sitting in the throne and the statue he pulled his head back through and informed the other the protal likely led straight Glasya. The drums were not geting louder and the room was not getting warmer but there was a gaping hole in the middle of Glasya's statue. As the discussion continued about how to proceed Rhy suggested apologizing while Theren suggest they could plane shif the party to runaway. As it looked like apologing was tkaing the lead THeren objected, based ont he parties concern about the fey but not a devil.while the discussion continued lee stuck his and Ysir's head through tth epaort and apologized and complimented the statue and thanked the figure they recognized for helping him earlier. Humanoid had no noticable reaction but the massive feline wipped up its three tails and looked curiously at them. Ysir and Lee discussed how to proceedbefore rhy pushed them through and follwoed through. while theren and Ranrus made their decisions to foloow ysir began to whisper his concern about his comfort in this space, which lee tried to help jhime with by reminding him it was just a part of him, something undeniable as his white firey horns began to form. ranrus and theren followed byut theren concerned about there history with apologize, foraml amd other wise covered their face withtheir hand and tried to stay out of view.   YSir pulled away from lee and began casually looking around as they approached the throne. He seemed calm, comfortable, and curious.   Approaching the throne Glasya looked over to Ranrus and spoke "Oh? welcome desecrator."   Ranrus apologized for damging the statue, not realizing it would have those consequences.   The group began to discuss how to properly make amends. She requested they convert some people to worship her. Rhy asked why she would interfer as the other gods did not and Glasya quickly corrected her noting she did not play by the same rules as the Gods. Rhy brought up Yua, whom Glasya explained was complicated, but she had had tea with Yua just last week and thought tshe would agree they should repay her with a few worshippers. Rhy disagreed arguing yua would expect them to the do the opposite of the request.   Glasya looked to theren suggesting that Yua would surely prefer a little chaos adde to the world, which confused ranrus as he though devils beleived in laws and rules. Glasya explained hse had followed her contract to the townsfolk to the letter but that eragis had taken advatage of loopholes.   Theren was concerned about what Glasya did to the souls that came to her. Glasya asked the devil whom helped Lee earlier what she did for him. He told them she had given him status, respect, and power. She looke dot the other figure and asked if she treated him better then his former master to which he agreed.   Theren seeking more clarifiaction explained there education on the tortures of the nine hells. Galsya explained that was all propaganda, some ogf the nine hells were like that, but that Glasya operated differently.   Glasya explained espoused that the morales of one plane should be applied to another but that while thye had docncern of the other lords of the nine hells she was much more in line with the party then the other Lords. Rhy argued that eif one morales wer not steadfast in all settings they should not care about apologizing for damaging the statue. Glasya reponded that she was simply trying to give perspective but she kenw what she wanted and liked and that she wanted compensation for damaging her statue.   the debate between the two continued to escalate and Ysir finally stepped between the two, suggestign that maybe they should use the statue a stepping off point for their relationship. Rhy took a step back and Lee picked up negotiation offering to reapiar the statue, and that they would look for a prefered follower rather then a random few. LEe offered a potentially specific contract for her to take over   Glasya seem to have s trong interest in get Lee as a patron but he made clear he already had a contract. Glasya agreed. she was usrprised the party had no questions for her and as she turned towards the the devil on her left and started to ask him soemthing. During much of this conversation RHy had been using th emagic of the ear cuffs to communicate witht eh party, leaving Ysir in th dark, as she planned their escape. rhy planeshifted the party to the House of the Realmsas soon Glasya looka way. the party appeared int he fron hall.   Date: Afternoon of the 4th of Kirit, 1437 DC
