Chronicles of the Realm Walkers: Session 53

The Realm Walkers and Ysir arrived in a muddy feel, rain pouring down around him. There were dead bodys around and a damaged temple to their north, clear signs of Eragis's pressence. the party discussed their plan of approach. They pooled their knowledge of Eragis which was limited to his eleven ancestry and that many of his powers came from pacts or contracts.   They decide to gather more information by having Lee take some time to observer Eragis from a distance. Lee, Theren, and Rhy began movingstealthly and covering there scent with mud, and sheep.     Lee climbed up on the roof of a small shed. From there Lee could see eragis inside the temple. Eragis picked up a body and was chanting some thing as the body burnt up and disapeared. throught the rain LEe could here Eragis ritualisticly chanting in infernal "... bone, blood, soot...". Lee updated the party on his findings. determining Eragis was as wise as he was and not nearly as charismatic.   The party prepped their spells, Ranrus aided everyone and cast regenerate on Ysir.   The party started to move up, stealthing, to which Ysir failed, luckily the others did not draw any attention and the rain seem to cover for Ysir's miniscule mayhem.   Once everyone was in poistion Lee downed a potion of invunrability, Theren threw a sparkle grenade, Ranrus cast flamestrike on Eragis, and Rhy dawned her Patron.   The battle broke out. Eragis was stunned as the party caught him by surprise. The battle was going quite well, even with him becomeing resistant to seemingly everything, everytime he teleported. Eragis seemed to be defeated when he spoke to the statue in the temple,"Do they not meet your requirements? I will take their offering now!" and he was suddenlywreathed in flame. Eragis stood, turned on Lee, who had delivered what seemed to be a debilitating final blow, despite Lee being invisble. Eragis reach towards lee and seemed try and do soemthing though whatever he attempted failed.   the battle was much more back and forth. Ysir became Eragis's primary focus and Lee still seemed to be the target of something specificilly aimed at him. Ranrus sough to pull the focus off of Ysir and summoned a celestial of Onatar, Thalowel.   Sadly as Thalowel arrived, Lee disapeared.   Lee reappeared in a stone pit with a slow sprialling ramp of stone leading up.At the center of the pit was a pool of lava and standing in front of the pit an Elf with dark blue skin and white hair, stairing at Lee and licking their lips.   The fight contiued for the others inside the destroyed Temple without anyone aware of Lee's disapearance. Meanwhile, Lee was attacked by the Elf in the pit.   ad the fight continued eragis was word down further and further and while therne was blinked in the ethereal plane he escaped by plane shifting. Eragis appeared int he pit mouthed at the Elf, " hurry up and get this done". before disappearing again.   On the material plane the party having realized Lee's absense started to try to figure out where he had gone. Rhy and Ranrus started reaching out to their Gods for guidance.   As lee continued to fight the Elf, whom he beleeived to be some sort of true form or other Eragis, a voice spoke out from high above in the pit, "This isn't your deal with our mistress, get out."   Emerging from the darkness, standing on an unseen surface was winged red devil with rippling muscels and large flaming swords. The devil looked down at Lee, "You can go." Lee squeaked out a thank you before reapparing on the material plane. where he immediatly pulled off his hood takeing in a breath of the cool damp air.   WIth Lee returned, Theren cast sending to Eragis, "I never thought you would run away, oh well, I guess we get to enjoy the hunt this time."   "I didn't realize you were after me, this is going to be much more fun".   Date: 4th of Kirit, 1437 DC
