Chronicles of the Realm Walkers: Session 46

General Summary

Rhy, hearing the Moonfolk mention Rasephar called out, "He's a dick." before returning to making out with the Drow woman. Lee realizing he was now having to impersonate Rasephar continued, confusing the Moonfolk a great deal, but he managed to be convinced. Lee was able to physically navigate the Moonfolk to asking for assistance from Rhy( who was still disguised as Chalaina. Making his way over. the Drow broke away and hugged the Moonfolk exclaiming "Bushy, you're so close." Rhy started to make out with Bushy during this hug before he separated the Drow and pulled Rhy aside. On their approach to a nearby table, they ended up moving closer to Theren and Ranrus who were wall flowering on a near by building. Rhy, still very high, waved at at Theren who shyly waved back. Lee updated the Realm walkers via message on what he'd learnt.   Bushy and Rhy started discussing an Aasimar associated with Spearadear, also known as Rhy. The conversation zigged and zagged, Lee tried to direct it, but it still managed to tangent all over. They eventually learnt Bushy was indeed an assassin hired to kill Rhy, Theren, and Lee.   Lee and Rhy realized that the leader of Pilo’s Raiders, a Gnoll, had hired Bushy (same as Goobin Testface), to kill them, presumably for killing his men. As Bushy and Rhy continued to discuss, Rhy convinced Bushy she'd met Spearadear and in a moment of impulse Bushy asked Rhy to marry him and she accepted, initiating further making out.   As this making out began Theren received a sending from Maranath, warning them that he had received an answer for Maranath Flower question without hearing the actual question again (an issue that had occurred sporadically for the past few years). The answer had been "the Realm Walkers". Theren responded to Maranath informing him that they were dealing with an assassin and had met an evil chosen.   The sober members of the Realm Walkers started making a plan around dealing with Bushy. As Lee and Ranrus planned a way to isolate Bushy Theren took a "bold" approach and sat down announcing their presence. Rather then trying to kill Theren a wedding began to be planned.   Bushy was eventually taken down an alley that led to a children's playground, under the pretext of this wedding. Rhy revealed herself and Bushy, still high and became immediately aware that Rhy and Theren were his targets, sitting on the ground demoralized and sad. As discussion continued Bushy started talking to himself, though the party soon realized it was Rasephar. Bushy took a tincture sobering himself up and his demeanor changed to competent, frustrated, and defeated. Bushy putting the pieces together searched for and identified an invisible Lee by flicking switches on his goggles.   The group started discussing how to resolve the situation/contract. The party got hung up on which assassin's organization Bushy was associated with. Eventually they realized he was a member of the Underground, an assassin organization operating out of Myria. Bushy offered to kill the Gnoll, who had hired him to kill the party, for 50,000 gold pieces. There was an active back an forth about how to proceed. This included message delivery, paying to have no other contracts taken out of them, etc. The Realm Walkers relationship with Rasephar came up, a fact that bothered Bushy much more then the party. The Realm Walker finally agreed to pay off the remainder of Bushy's contract, but they postponed paying him so he didn't have to leave, and could enjoy the rest of the festival. Before he returned to partying he gave Rhy a small grey cube, explaining how to take the substance.   Stepping out of the alley Lee saw a Drow and a Tiefling partially blocking the way. having a lively debate facing out towards the festival. Lee asked if he could help them and the two turned around. Lee didn't recognize the Tiefling but the Drow was Desmond Umberhall.   The party began discussing current events with the two. They spoke about the library, and the parties recent history, Titans and Chosen. Everyone involved seemed to be testing Abigail who was confused by the fact that the party seemed to know details about her. Rhy brought up Abigail's access to The Tower of Eg which she explained she had simply befriended The Porcelain Sisters. Lee mentioned her being a chosen putting her further on guard.   Abigail inspected Rhy's headband and became very focused on her when she confirmed Rhy was not a worshipper of Ioun. Meanwhile Desmond became very focused on Theren and their recent death. The conversation escalated quickly and Desmond demanded Theren give him "the tuning fork". Desmond cast hold person and tried to remove the tuning fork from the bag of holding but the party moved to intervene. Ranrus physically separated them and then Rhy magically did the same by temporarily banishing Theren.   The party started to get very aggressive, lobbing insults and insinuating his affiliation with Vecna. Abigail seemed to side with the party but was still very calm and mostly just curious as to what this was all about.   The banishment on Theren was about to run out so Rhy returned them as the whole party stood between Desmond and where Theren would return. As they appeared Desmond addressed them "Theren", who responded in kind "Desmond", only to be corrected to "Caleroh". While the other Realm Walkers was unsurprised by this reveal and even mocked him for it, Caleroh continued to stare directly at and only engage with Theren.   Theren tried to figure out what had happened between Yua and the Dragons or him. He did not answer simply demanding the tuning fork, making clear he would kill them all to get it. Theren asked if he killed dragons, stating that they were a Dragon, and asking what the king would think.   Caleroh's eyes dilated as he focused on Theren and the other were pushed back and knocked to the ground by an unseen force. Caleroh stepped up to Theren grabbing their face and inspecting their scales. He soon let go of Theren's face, much more gently then how he grabbed it before firmly stating, "You owe it to him, give me the fork." Theren declared they would only give it to Caleroh if the King asked them to and that nothing else would change their mind. Caleroh stepped back, furious, letting out a terrifying, blood curdling roar, and the city went pitch black   Small blue flashes' of lightning lit the face of an ancient blue Dragon looming in front of Theren, as Caleroh, seemingly in his true form made a proclamation, "You have one month, if he does not tell you I'm not allowed to have that, I will take it." The lightning stopped and Caleroh seemingly disappeared.   Abigail stepped in, cast light, and addressed Theren. She was curious about Theren being a Dragon and the colloquial him. Abigail encouraged them to spend sometime together and sit down and chat about everything they knew. The party was resistant and eventually asked her about her Chosen status which put her on the defensive. Theren in a panic continued to ramble stating they had many names they couldn't mention, they knew a Gold Dragon, and most importantly, knew a relative of Abigail's. This caused Abigail to step back and away as her expression changed to disappointment. She took a few seconds to process and then did confirm she was the Chosen of Ioun. The group finally agreed to return to the castle to discuss everything that had occurred and sharing what they could.   Date: 18th of Sithala, 1437 DC
