Chronicles of the Realm Walkers: Session 29

General Summary

The party returned to Snowbright, D’Havin quickly left, having no interest in the Dragon. Finding Di the party learnt the Dragon was young, younger then normally capable of changing shape. Di would help her but he didn’t have the skills to provide real significant aid and would need to summon one of "his compatriots". Ysir was distant during the visit with Di, who of course only presented as his High Elf in his humanoid form. The party finally sold the hydra heads they had collected for 200 gp each. They took a long rest and identified the magic items they found on Mavrin. The ring was a ring of truth telling, the bow was an oath bow, the handkerchief was a portable hole, and the book identified as a single word, "wish". Lee checked in with the ghosts to see if he'd received a letter from Cinder (which he had) and wrote a reply.   In Kemmera, Rhy went to the library and discovered that more texts had been burned and no outsider were being let in. The librarian noted the Tiefling visitor and Davin Umberhall were still inside. Rhy went to plead her case with Jalynnet Umberhall and learnt that the spirits weren’t letting anyone in, even members of the Umberhall family. The burned texts were around necromancy and lichdom which had drawn attention to Rhy, seeing as she had been looking to investigate that very thing while she was in the library.   The next day the party in Snowbright headed out and learnt that Ysir had a peculiar interaction with Di, seeing as one of his two swords is dragon slayer long sword. He noticed Di giving off/giving him a strange energy and, considering the care he was giving the dragon, perceived it as hostile.   Meanwhile Rhy ran into Rasephar in the main hall of Tideguard Castle who strangely asked about her name and the names of her party members. The strange encounter ended with Rasephar saying "they could just go ask the rest of the party". A few minutes later all of the Realm Walkers started to hear the sound of waves against a wooden hull. Soon after they heard thunder crack and found themselves on the deck of a strange ship, though they weren't alone.   Also on board were the crew of the Gold Favor. The party tried to deduce where they were and in the end found nothing truly conclusive. Thiblewip informed the Realm Walkers that she and the other crew members had been in a seaside village where the delivered a sea monster statue to a grey blue Tiefling in white robes. Ranrus tried to see below the waves and managed to hook a sea serpent who, luckily, seemed disinterested in them. The ship was set into a semi sailable state. Lee and Theren tried calling to the heavens and discovered they had been brought there by Rasephar. Slowly Rasephar revealed he had been watching them since they first visited his home and that he was trying to help with one of the names they didn’t know about. He told them to "Go where the ship went". Thiblewip was banished back to Ithica where she hoped to help. The others continued sailing and morred on the dock of a small island. The Realm Walkers disembarked, following what sounded like footstep headed down the gangplank and along the dock and into thenearby buildings. In one of the first buildings Rhy found a note “Today what I did for Tamit. Gave a child candy and reunited them with there mother, soon they would join Tamit. Noted a fisherman's small haul and inspected his boat and I expect him to visit Tamit soon. I found The Priest still ignored their wisdom, I sent the priest his weekly amount of chicken, he will soon meet Tamit."   Next the party searched a building made of boats and found one old bottle of unidentified magic liquid. Stepping out of the building they saw a large open square. They were each struck by a series of visions all taking place in the square. The flurry of visions ended with a long vision of a King approaching two undead and demanding a book, which, when they refused to give it to him, he simply stole through incredibly powerful show of necromancy. As the vision ended The party was left alone with the two undead (now in the same conditioned they'd been at the start of the vision). The Realm Walkers took time to process what they had seen but the sense of an inevitable fight was overwhelming as the sense of hostility from the two undead was overwhelming.   Date: 12th to the 13th of Sithala, 1437 DC and ?? of ????, ????
