Chronicles of the Realm Walkers: Session 9
General Summary
The party left The Roar in the Storm and split up to do errands before leaving for Dark Mound.
Theren went to The Betting Poole and found Orethia who informed them that the monsters for the Grand Hunt had sort of been rushed to decision and they went with two, snow or mountain apes, and hydra's. From there Theren went to Turnuroth's Arcane Pantry. Their they met the same dragonborn girl as last time, slightly more nervous then before. She wasn't particularly helpful but her grandmother produces the chalk Theren needed and a box of six magic grenades. From there Theren went to Bisset's Sweets run by a young balding Half-orc. The shop seemed plain to run down but the Half-orc claimed it was the best sweet shop in the city. Theren bought a variety of sweets including a large amount of licorice which instantly turned into gumdrops when they took possession of the bag. They then went to Williams Strahd's home and left a farewell package with a letter.
Lee went to See Arthur and Cinder. He bought papers and went to Phoenix Arcania House. Lee walked in confidently and asked to see Arthur or Thinabelle. The two members of the house who met him seemed scared and told a brief story about Phoenix-teeth. Lee went to see Arthur and had a brief exchange. Arthur agreed to act as the in between for letters and though he tried to hide it, was happy after checking Lee's first letter. He also showed Lee two orbs, seemingly measures of he and Therens use of the name Ranicon. Arthur warned that Theren might be vulnerable to its lethality sooner then normal. He also expressed his anger being focused less so on Lee and Theren, as much as (presumably) Darkwing as long as they weren't involved in that extended situation.
Lee met with Cinder, who explained he went uncaught do to threatening those in the know and was excited to hear they could write each other. He also asked Lee to make particular note if the met a mute red dragon.
Rhy prepared the chamber for Megna's eventual return and then went looking for Auna, she found the twin staying at the The Cats Cradle. Oula was excited to see her though still frustrated by the undead. She left the two to chat and the two once again entered into an awkward, and emotional conversation. Auna made clear she now intended to kill Master Minta but would wait till the time was right. She also revealed Ysir might currently want to kill the twins but that Auna would clear that up. She explained that Ysir was a Purple tiefling getting the purple from his mothers side. They left on good terms and still working through things, but much better then they had been when Auna left the day before.
Ranrus spent the day finishing the Tome of the Jester.
In the evening Lee went to get a clothing set made up by Danny. In the process of getting measurement she pulled up a sleeve and revealed familiar though ghostly purple scales. Lee was intrigued but Danny explained some where in her family line there was a dragon, adding that a great aunt of hers had similar scales. She asked lee to keep it quite, as much of her fame and work was from and in Krata and she didn't want her history smeared. She was excited to hear there was a revolution but was concerned over the fact the royal family all still lived. She was also excited to here Lord Varse still lived and packaged um some clothing for Lee to deliver to him.
