Chronicles of the Realm Walkers, The Amber Forge: Session 38

The party began searching Gresmina's hut. Lee was sent down a a spider web filled hall while Rhy used her ghostly gaze with which she saw into several of the hut many rooms as well as the content of the cauldron which in addition to liquid was a humanoid pelvic bones. Inside the spider web chamber lee found a false wall that quietly pried open. Inside they saw a translucent blue spider. He moved on not seeing a sword and artfully avoiding touching the thick webbing.   Theren used detect magic and began investigating. They entered what appeared to be a small plant nursery. They offered to feed one of the plants to the bag of holding which it seemed to like and Theren fed it an aggressive carnivorous plant. Lee started to communicate with his sister to determine what might be at the end of the very long hall. Eventually he started making his way down but got distracted by the some delicious healing mushroom. Lee managed to resist pigging out and made his way to the end of the hall discovering Gresmina picking through metallic gold acorns. They had a translucent quality and seem to have thing inside them.  Lee in formed the rest of the party he believed may be they were there to take her acorn's. Rhy called out to Gresmina  asking her about the acorns and sending Pip in through the mouse hole to investigate. Gresmina panicked but eventually poured out a stash of acorns and disappeared. Pip and lee began investigating the acorns. Lee found one acorn with a blade and and acorn with a tiny strange bottle.. after confirming how to release the contents he walked away. this time lee was not as dexterous and did step on the web revealing himself to the giant phase spider though he was able to quickly escape running down the tight next hall throwing distraction jerky behind them.   Ranrus seeing the severely injured Lee gave him a potion to drink but Lee seem determined just to hang onto it. as the two debated, Lee trying desperately to convince Ranrus they'd rest soon, and Ranrus threatening to force feed him, Gresmina appeared asking, "do you need a potion?" The potion she offered was not a healing potion. Ranrus took the offered potion which he identified immediately.   The potion was Dream Nectar. The amount in the potion would put most any creature to sleep for hours though it was hard not to be suspicious of the sweet cotton candy smell. While diluted it was much harder to notice but still very effective in putting creatures to sleep. Ranrus kept the potion and Theren asked if Gresmina had potion for the giants outside. Gresmina explained she hadn't given them the potions as there presence was there to help protect her from someone.   this someone was quickly identified as Feln who Rhy was quick to defend. Something Ranrus found strange considering the short period of time Rhy had know the forge master. Gresmina panicked further hearing not only they knew him but were sent by him. The realm walker became distracted as Theren brought up what o do if the simulacrum was not freed/fixed. Whether the party would kill Feln. The twins were quick to defend Feln.   Lee inquired as to why she was so scared. She told him that she had tried to descend a few weeks earlier only to find the path blocked by his "...little creepy crawly things."   Ranrus inquired into what those creatures were, assuming some sort of undead, she told him they were "...little black inky things."   Rhy told her that he just wanted his sword. With this news Gresmina had a complete 180, happy to give up a sword for her safety. She began bringing out all sort of containers for the party to search for the sharp pointy thing.   Theren cast detect magic and was surprised that Rhy was surrounded by enchantment magic. Theren and Ranrus were very suspicious. During this time Theren became full recovered and their finger was healed, while Lee had by others intervention had avoided drinking the potion.   Gresmina produced the potions for the giants and being assured the sword would appease Feln sent the part on their way.   Leaving the party delivered the potions to the giants who were threatening the chicken motif house with the assault of a divine bovine. The giants and the party left the valley.   On the way Theren theorized that Feln might not be able to travel to other planes that he was trapped like other they'd met to which Rhy suggested she might talk to Spearadear to help remedy. once again drawing Ranrus's suspicious eye. This was quickly forgotten as Lee finally informed the Realm Walkers that Eragis, the creature they freed from the Mercurial mirror in the House of the Realms basement, had been terrorizing the planes of western Nowch for a few months. The party got hung up on how long Lee had known without telling them. the insanity of the situation led Ranrus to fully dunk his head and scream into water.   Trying to dig himself out of a hole Lee mentioned (thinking he told the party) that Aryn of Above's patron was Mammon. the party mentally exhausted continued their descent. Rhy used Auna's sending stone to let her know they were on another plane and that she was hoping they'd help with Eragis. In her Reply Auna expressed being happy Rhy was planeshifting without her and that her sister and she were caught up in something but if they were done in time they'd try to help.   Headed down the mountain Rhy became free from Feln's charm though to her there was no notable change just not as enamored with Feln. Ranrus noticed the strange haze in the air, these strange black wisps.   Arriving back at the Amber Forge Feln Greeted "ithica" pleasantly asking if they succeed. Ranrus delivered the sword and the party followed to observe the wish. The simulacrum immediately began to loose the many physical curses. He lost most signs of the curse except his third eye changed from ugly bulbous and seemingly dead to healthy and blinking. He approached the whole party giving them a smooth "Hey". He appeared to be hitting on them and his overall behavior seem more juvenile then Feln's. Feln reminded the simulacrum of the job he'd been given which the simulacrum acknowledged. on his way out of the room he whispered top Theren, "You should of killed me when you had the chance." Theren followed quickly behind. back in the forge chamber the simulacrum threatened and berated the forge, even kicking it. The simulacrum was about to go through the planar gate when Theren called out asking what his job was. he responded that it was to find the saint. Theren asked what he had meant about killing him. to which he responded "Because I'm dangerous!" before stepping backwards through the gate disappearing. Feln gave them the reforged Soul Key, now taking the form as a short sword instead of a longsword, red Dragon scale and a demon skull for Ranrus as a reward for retrieving the Luck Blade.   Ranrus also asked about the library of Leth and was informed to be able to read it they would need to sell their soul not something the party was likely to do outside the "little dragon". Theren was shocked he knew and he explained the qualities of her scales which were those of an actual dragon vs those formed in humanoid with draconic blood. This was the first time Lee and Rhy had heard that Theren was a dragon.   As the Realm Walkers prepared to planeshift, Feln waved his hand turning of the planar gate, which acts as a light house for planeshifting on the plane. The party plane shifted away Lee still severely injured as the party hoped to arrive in Kemmera.   Date: 2nd day in Barovia.
