Chronicle of Fates: Session 7, Opening Ceremony
General Summary
The Realm Walkers, Ysir, Abigail, and Stay sat back down at their table in the tavern and were quickly joined by Gil and Elyana. The group had a long discussion about the invitation to the Tower of Eg and general introductions. amongst there discussion it was revealed that Stay may not be actually worshipping Grestien.
This revelation led to Stay leaving to distract herself with Gil and the party theorizing. Rhy revealed the accendency of the new God of Music to Abigail. this led to Abigail mentioning "Tariel" and her father under her breath. As everyone planned to head to bed the invitations changed revealing the time the invitees were expected.
that night Lee reached out to Syren.
The next morning the two groups gathered at the Tower of Eg and were eventually let in. Abigail and her retinue were disarmed and had most of their magic limited before gaining entrance to the entry hall where they were told by the Porcelain Sisters that the invitation was to the Toower of Eg's first annual open house.

Gil introduced himself as Gil, the Chosen of Yua. Abigail defended her change of demeanor by directing attention to her insider knowledge of the potential existence of true chosen unlike her, whom the church described “to have a gods attention”. Rhy further distracted by asking if Abigail knew anything about the birth of a new God. They discussed the two examples of mortal accension and their lack of evidence outside of their religious text on Nowch.
The Realm Walkers informed Elyana that they were Joining Abigail’s retinue. Elyana was not upset and went onto explain she suspected she was being invited for her celebrity status, not her research or academic skills. She had no more insight on the nature of the invitation. Rhy grilled Gil in via message of the party’s suspicions. He replied pointing out four and a half chosen going into the Tower.
Elyana feeling her business was done left and returned to her bodyguard. Gill remained and started to ask questions. The party was hesitant, but eventually they started to Engauge after Gil created a story about how he thought they all met. He started to prod about Grestien. He didn’t know Grestien could have followers/warlocks. Gil eventually got up inviting Stay to come to his room, throwing her a key.
After he left, Lee and Stay discussed Grestien. Lee revealed the truth of Grestien and Yua’s relationship. This started a breakdown. As they started poking hole in Stay’s understanding and belief in Grestien, “The mother of Sea’s and Storms.” The Realm Walkers knew Grestien was in the Rise card like Mutta and most likely couldn’t influence anything let alone give powers to the warlock. Gil quickly returned hearing mention of his Goddesses Deck. He called over his sister when lee produce the deck box and the rise card. Elyana had to cover her eye patch and asked Lee to put the box away. She identified the rise card, as the prison of Grestien and that Grestien was still inside.
Stay looked furious and she dragged Gil off to hatefuck him.
The party began theorizing what Stay could be a warlock to. Abigail theorized she could be praying to a different legendary sea monster, while Rhy considered aberrations form the astral sea. Abigail drew further attention to the cult stay lead that also were praying presumably a different entity. Rhy considered how one could worship the wrong thing. Abigail explained that there were means to intercept if you were in a “big church” the God of that “church” could intervene. But the in this scenario if she performed the wrong ritual that she believed was a Grestien ritual but was for another god. Lee mentioned he had seen Grestien get captured and Abigail was fascinated but seemed to believe it. Abigail wanted to take some time to process all the knew information. She learnt that Rhy was now a chosen of Spearadear. Ysir did nothing to reveal himself. Rhy started to inform Abigail about the other chosen they’d met, Tiamat’s and the chosen of the God of Music. This led to them revealing the birth of the God of Music, but not his identity. Abigail pondered this revelation and whispered to herself “father would that impress you? … Tariel are you there?”
Rhy started trying to consider a way to help Abigail discover the truth of her research on the identity of the king of the dragons, and Rhy worked to point her back to Bolo. She thanked them and was preparing to head out when a rustling filled the bar and Abigail produced her invitation which had changed to tell her, her and her retinue (naming each member of the party) were expected at the Tower of Eg’s entrance then next morning at 9 am. Everyone headed back to their inns and head to bed.
Lee in his sleep reached out to Syren. Syren was still in a chaotic and seemingly resetting state. Lee asked Illateth and confirmed she was in the steppes. Mentioning Mutta cause rage to build up followed by a reset. The other titan that was far away was Antrium. This was news as the party thought the missing titan from the steps was Xir not Antrium. The conversation didn’t bare much more fruit aside from confirming what had already been said. The next morning Abigail’s retinue arrived at the entrance. Lee had sent to Abigail who sound good but bewildered and she told lee she and Gil would be there just not sure when.
Everyone eventually arrived and join their groups. And the doors opened 30 minutes alate and a human wizard in blue robes with an incredibly long bear stepped out to speak to the crowd. He explained the basic rules of entry. Groups began to file in. the entrance to the tower reminded them of the entrance to Timerous Rexial tower in Valnar. The wizard acknowledge Abigail return with joy and she replied identifying him as Roster and complimenting him on his beard looking extra old. Passing the threshold the retinue found themselves in coat room with a young bronze skinned Gnome with flecks of dragon scales on his skin. He started to explain the rules. Weapons, dimensional storage, arcane focuses and spell component needed to be left in the coat room. He also explained the tower would be taking on the risk. They would pay for any required investigation if items were stolen. After much back and forth most of the party weapons and magical item were put in holding. there were a few exceptions the disguised silver fall which went unnoticed. Danta’s bracer also went unnoticed. Stay had her Hexblade bound. Ranrus armor and maul were rendered mundane. Lees black blade was rendered mundane as the Gnome noted it was one of Destana’s black blades and who knew what it could be. Peaku caused an issue being seemingly alive but also a dimensional space. The Gnome panicked and summoned someone to assist.
Morgianna, a porcelain covered feminine automaton arrived recognizing the bag she gave her permission for bag to go unhindered. She asked Porter, the Gnome, dedicated 15% of her observation to the party. Prescot prepared to send them through after a final check with a special spy glass. This identified Ranrus armor as having damaging spell and the armor was also rendered mundane. Morgianna during this approached Rhy mentioning her nice corset before leaving and telling porter to increase the observation to 20 %.
Lee considered what Morgianna meant by observation. Lee realized this was likely something to do with the scrying sensors on the street. He imagined there were more scrying sensor in the tower that would now be watching them.
Ysir was in a less appealing state and before Morgianna left she summoned a coat to cover his under armor before departing “to take her place”. Before Porter let them in, he reiterated the importance of the rules since they were entering with a bag of holding. they were to put nothing in the bag or let it eat anything.
Passing though they found themselves in a massive entry hall with a s lightly raised platform and a massive version of the portrait of winter Zorgel they had seen. More people filled the room entering from door on the rear wall. A pair of staircases that lead in up further into the tower appeared, sliding along the curved rear wall covering the doors. The room dimmed and their attention was drawn back to the platform where four individuals had appeared. The four head mistresses introduced themselves: Elizabeth Zorgel, Tifa Zorgel, Yelena Zorgel, Morgianna Zorgel.
Elizabeth welcomed them to the tower of Regs first annual open house. She gave a speech about shared education and the pursuit of knowledge. For the next day and half, they would have free rain of their junior dorms, lecture halls, and labs, and some of their libraries, and if they stay till the end of day the next day, they would be able to watch a presentation of her and her sister’s research.
