Muffgin are a species of small, weasel-like creatures who are commonly kept as pets throughout Ithan.

Caring for your Little Rascal

Although muffgins are great pets when properly cared for, they are not suitable for children under six. Muffgins can be quite the little monsters for those who do not properly care for them as well.

Harder than a Prison Escape

Think of it this way: If you leave an opening your pinky finger can fit in, your muffgin is gone.

Muffgin are natural escape artists and should be kept in a secure environment that has no small openings that the muffgin could get trapped in. All holes in walls or floors should be sealed off to prevent the muffgin from crawling in to them and potentially becoming trapped.

Muffgin are hypercarnivores, and need a diet consisting of at least 80% meat and fish. The primary choice of meat muffgin owners feed their animals is throrughly cooked rabbit. Some owners insist on feeding mainly poultry. Others use a combination of poultry, fish, or both. Fruit, grains, wild greens, and fungi are used as an occassional treat to supplement the creature's diet.
