Borian
A person who is born into, or marries into, the Bori Tribe.
Borians are not terribly concerned with keeping their tribes homogenous, and regularly welcome others into their families. As such, they are one of the most diverse cultural groups on the Aerial Isle. While most commit to following and safeguarding the herds, Borians are also set apart by their distinct body paints and ritual scarring. They are notoriously calm and easy-going compared to their contemporaries as well.

Shared customary codes and values
The Bori tribes value their time and happiness. Most Borians pursue whatever interests they have; hunting, crafts, exploring, or whatever else strikes their fancy. Parents and chiefs do not go out of their way to push children into the roles previously held by the family in the tribe, instead encouraging them to find what they like best. This is always done at a leisurely pace; Borians do not rush themselves or become bothered by the minutia of the day.
Connections and bonds are also significant to the Borians. Their connection to the Bori, and the rest of the world around them, is central to an individual's identity. Forging new bonds comes easy to them, as Borians readily seek out new friends. As a result, they can be quite sociable. They pick up languages quite quickly as well, with the average tribesman being fluent in both Vulshik and Myrahadan, and a few even learning the obscure tongues of the mountain folk and highlanders.

Common Etiquette rules
It is common practice to move your encampment if it is in the path of a Bori. If one of the beasts enters your land before you can move, leaving it undisturbed until it has moved on is the proper way to handle the situation. The only exceptions are when bonded Bori come to visit their Borian friends, in which case those families who are not connected to the beast are expected to leave until the beast moves on.
When traveling, it is good manners to move at the pace of your eldest tribesman. Often these elders are given chariots and wagons to ride in comfortably, and are placed in the center of the tribe when they are on the move, along with very young children.
Common Dress code
Borians wear animal skins, bearing much of their skin to display their scars and body paints. In Starspell they coat their bodies and clothes with Pril fat, keeping them warm and waterproof.
The skins that a Borian wears can tell much about their families. Bearers of Bori skins are well respected as spiritual, while those that wear Pril hides might be considered brave. The skins a family is able to provide for their members in many ways reflects the characteristics and morals that they hold.
Funerary and Memorial customs
Sky burials are common among the Bori Tribe. This is viewed as a way to reinforce the tribe's connections to the lands, as well as the creatures around them.
Common Taboos
It is terrible to wound or kill a Bori outside of the annual ritual hunt. Doing so is not only grounds for execution, but results in the shunning of the offender's entire family as well.
