Dwarves
Dwarves live and work in the steep mountains of the Cavern City. The mine is rich in resources of coal and iron, which helps the island continue to flourish despite its isolation from the outside world. Their weapons of choice are shields, war mallets, and war hammers.

Dwarves are typically shorter than humans, craftsmen, cooks, farmers, and miners.
Ecology and Habitats
Dwarves dislike extreme heat and extreme cold. They once lived in the Alpine Ridge Mountains of the Kingdom of Maelstrom, where the average temperature is comfortable.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Dwarves tend to enjoy drinking wine or other alcoholic beverages and eating large meals.
Behaviour
Dwarves are a close-knit family and typically handle all their drama within the faction instead of pulling outsiders in to mitigate it. They are loners and don’t like to socialize outside of their faction, but they always talk about the opportunity to help when needed.

History
Dwarves came to the island along with the shaman and druids centuries ago, during a vast sweep by mercenaries to collect those who were rebelling against the realm. They settled in around the mine, which was close to the capital, Calavera Castle, as well as other resources, water sources, a mine, and trees.
