Illyium

"A sanctuary amidst unknowable forces and powers that be"

At the heart of the universe lies Illyium, the Realm Materium. Created when Lokir tricked the Divines into sacrificing some of their power to create a new realm outside the rules of Aetherius and the Void. This new realm would hold countless worlds and phenomena. It would also serve as a sanctuary for the mortal life that had yet to come. Throughout the realm demi-planes exist as the primary domains of the Divines. Some theories and beliefs suggest these domains hold the souls of the dead.

Geography

Illyium is an expansive realm home to both forces of chaos and order. Within the realm countless worlds and stars blanket the serene silence. Among these worlds lies Iskara, the bastion and home of mortal life, a world like any other.
