Divine: Whether through a lifetime of dedication or through an accident, some Kanoia enter into the service of the exalted Icons. Their uses are often as varied as the Icons themselves, ranging from enlightened clerics spreading their teachings to armed zealots enforcing doctrine to even humble craftsmen making wares, any and all paths are an avenue to gain an Icon's blessing.   Mysticism: To the uninitiated, practitioners of Mysticism seem to summon balls of fire and conjure beings into Existence from nothing. However, the reality is through either considerable study or an innate talent, Kanoia have been able to gain an understanding of the Essence that makes up the very fabric of Existence, and how to manipulate it. By tapping into this powers, users are able to harness a fragment of the power of the Ether and Empyrean.   Occult: Followers of Occult magics enter into binding agreements with powerful forces and entities typically connected to the Empyrean. As an Icon's Essences is maintained through the prayers and actions of their followers, so to is an Occult practitioner. They often receive considerable power from a patron with the intention of gathering followers to help fuel their own power and to siphon that power on to their patrons.   Primal: Every thing in Existence has Essence, from the tiniest pebble to the mighty Qalani. Those who are blessed with an innate connection the the natural Essence of this world often find themselves trying to help maintain a healthy balance between the natural world, and the "civilized" one. Typically Primalists gain access to their powers from within, and not some other entity.   Rune: Over the years, ancient relics have been uncovered within the perennial ruins of the Qalani. Some of these relics have come to be called Runestones, which have inscriptions that correlate to the powers locked within the stones. While still largely a mystery like many of what is found in these dilapidated structures, scholars are constantly trying to understand these powerful items and how to utilize them.   Verse: Song and poetry has always held a special place in the hearts of the Kanoia, seeing as before the invention of other methods of recording, it was the only way for these people to pass along the stories of their forefathers. Recently, it has been discovered that these very stories and songs with done correctly, affects Essence in the Kanoia and creatures around them.
