Vædran Sailor

In distant Rema there is a craft unlike any other which is being built for godly purpose. The Vædran sailor is a ship which will sail not the seas of the heavens themselves. Its slender frame belying the powerful magic which is infused in every fiber of the thing. Its creator, the brilliant engineer Frontelsus, means to cross into Vædra aboard his sailor, not mere flight but to pierce the heavenly barrier itself. There are plenty who've heard of this work who mock it as fanciful daydreaming, yet the emperor remains patron to Frontelsus who has made Reman ships the greatest in creation and built wonders no other nation has known. Frontelsus claims the Vædran sailor to be his true masterwork, a magnum opus that will carry his people where none have gone before. And while the sailor has yet to undergo its maiden voyage, even in its unfinished state it is a wonder to behold. The Vædran sailor is a frigate clad in armor never seen before, which has repelled every assault tested against it, and armed with the newest and most powerful canons in the Reman fleet. It can bear a crew of over a hundred and would be the jewel in any imperial navy even as it is today, but there's more hidden in the heart of this beast. Deep within its hull hums a magical heart which lends it speed unnatural and renders sails unnecessary. This heart is kept secure, accessible only to Frontelsus and the emperor, and is rumored to be an artifact of the times before time. Some among Reman scholarly circles even claim Frontelsus was gifted a drop of Creator's Blood which powers his sailor. Yet despite this power, the means by which Frontelsus plans to cross Eledra's barrier remains unknown to any but the man himself.
