As a
Matron of a noble house in
Káto, it is difficult to stay a shadow when so many are out for your position and notoriety. It is even harder to remain mostly forgotten when your house was tied to one of the largest scandals to grace the
Silver Elf city of
Eryndlyn in centuries. But this is something that Lythrana thrives at. While she may have had a hand in the death of her mother so that she could have what she wanted, no one believes that she could do such a thing, not when
Zilvra Baenre exists in
Eryndlyn, far more power-hungry than Lythrana ever was.
The
Matron Murders shone a light on
House T'sarran, a lesser noble house that struggled to gain its place on the
Ruling Council.
Haelre had been weak, choosing to allow others to direct her choices, losing respect for her house more than she gained. Where
Matron Haelre was cruel, Lythrana chose to be soft-hearted, something that gained her respect, but she was conniving beneath that facade. This would be her true power that would define the path that
House T'sarran would soon take.
Lythrana wept for nearly a decade, mourning her mother then passed in what would become known as the
Matron Murders. All believed that a feud between
House Baenre and
House T'sarran was the cause, but Lythrana knew better than to stop any rumors. These rumors hid her true self, the one who chose to upstage her mother in favor of knowledge and love. She had a patience that only a
Silver Elf could have, waiting ten years for what
Zilvra promised, but again, no one believed that Lythrana was a part of the scandal, no one believed that the trade of weapons masters was a payout over a decade in the making.
Ooo, I like her. She's clever.
