Enora Xiloscient

Musician Enora Xiloscient

A soft melody fills the air as the nimble fingers of an Elf dance across the worn surface of a lyre. Other instruments lay strewn about the floor, but the one in her hands shows the dark colors of wear and hundreds of years of age. The melody that comes from her fingertips is the deep tones of the Cradle of Clay, far different from the soft and jovial tones that the Elven Forest is known for. Slowly the melody changes to the timbres of Dwarven mining cadences, her fingers drawing out the echo of the mines, even in her small room. For hours her fingers dance, drifting through melodies until finally she slows and stops upon the last note of a sad ballad.   Her expertise lies in her music and the cultures she represents with it. The numerous instruments and their various sounds can weave a magical melody through which she tells stories and relates long lost histories. Enora Xiloscient is an oddity with her craft, a Bard that chose storytelling and history over the fantastical performances of others. She studies cultures and their music, an anthropologist in both study and title, even though many see her as nothing but a well-practiced Bard.   Once a famous performer of the Elven Kingdom, her years have changed her from one who coveted the spotlight to one that wished to shed that light on others. Through her work with the Elven Historic Council, she uses her music and her knowledge of cultures to shed light and insight on those cultures that are lost to the masses. She hosts historic concerts and plays the music of Vóreios, not just the melodies of the Elves.

Ohh, I love that she brings cultures back to life through her music. Music's definitely something that gets overlooked in history sometimes, so I'm glad she's focused on it! :D
