Floating City of Neurexa

This floating city is home to only those who are deemed worthy. These are high nobles, wealthy merchants and those high up in the church or specifically invited because of their class and power. There are only humans living here, even among the tourists, only those that are deemed worthy enough are permitted entry.

The government is run by the Neurex Temple, with the Pope being the head of the council that oversees the running of Neurexa. The council is mostly made up of high-ranking members of the temple, but there is one seat for the head of the merchants and one representing the nobles. Although these seats do not have any say in the running of Neurexa, they are allowed to make suggestions or raise concerns of the people they are representing.

The whole floating city is protected by a barrier to stop people without an entry permit to enter, but in case of emergencies they are also protected by the holy paladins, a group that has been hand selected and trained by the temple to protect the temple and eliminate problems that they might have.

Being a floating city, there are two major ports for airships and wyvern landings. The roads are made up of polished stone. Sewers flow beneath the town, being well-kept to ensure the city remains immaculate. There is a gemstone that sits in the centre of the city that powers every building, providing all buildings with all the magic that is needed for every day living.

There are 3 main districts in Neurexa. There is the temple district which is the centre district where all the high-ranking members of the church lives. There is the noble district which is the middle district where all the nobles reside. The outer district is the tourist district and that is the only district that the visitors are permitted to visit, as well as where the merchants reside as this is where all the shops are located.

This city is seen as a wealthy city that has control over the supply of orichalcum, which the temple treats as a holy metal.

People usually come here for a religious pilgrim, to come to the main Neurex Temple or to brag that they managed to score an entry pass to Neurexa. Tourism to here is considered a show of someone's value and worth, it is an esteemed destination that everyone wants to visit but only the lucky few will actually ever get entry into.

This is called a modern city. Most buildings are tall buildings, built of white stone and glass. A golden temple sits in the centre of the city, that only the most important people will get to see.
