The Realm of Vanesse
The Realm of Vanesse is the only society of wood elves in Vashnir. Surrounded by the lush Forest of Qulida, the realm showcases beauty and splendour, as well as the fierce might of the woodland power.
Demographics
The realm is populated only by wood elves, who live in solitude within the Forest of Quilda.
Government
Vanesse is run in an absolute monarchy by King Aranion and his family, who vow to keep the realm prospering for as long as they live.
Infrastructure
Due to its proximity to the river, many bridges and watermills have been constructed, as well as armories, forges and stables. As the wood elves grow their mostly fruit and veg diet in the Forest of Quilda, they do not need to trade for produce often with the rest of Vashnir either. They are completely sustainable. Though practical, the city is also extremely beautiful with its white marble buildings and intricate carvings.
Points of interest
The main Vanesse is built upon the Falls of Cala, which is the largest waterfall in Vashnir and one of the most well known features of wood elf culture itself. The waterfall spills out into Vashnir in many streams, though most prominently forms the River Lindale, one of the 4 main rivers in Vashnir. The water of Vanesse has arcane healing properties bestowed upon it by King Aranion, just by the presence of his light, which also brings a life and an essence to the woods, as if it is alive because of him. King Aranion stays in the House of Anar, a luxurious building made of marble and strips of golden sunlight.
Tourism
The Realm of Vanesse is mostly isolated from the world, so little wanderers come visiting, other than those lost or who mean business. Though many wish to see the Falls of Cala and the beautiful architecture, they do so from a distance as to not disturb the realm.
Architecture
The beautiful buildings of Vanesse are carved from marbles and polished stones, along with adorned wood make up much of the interiors.
Natural Resources
The wood elves of this realm forage the fruits of the Forest of Quilda for food, and use the resources of the area for other parts of their meals.
